A two-week Tailor-Made Sniper Course conducted for personnel of the Armenian Army concluded at The Infantry School, Mhow, on September 19, 2026, marking another step in growing defence cooperation between India and Armenia.
The specialised course featured a rigorous training curriculum focused on sniper craft skills and combat firing. Armenian Army personnel underwent intensive instruction aimed at sharpening precision shooting capabilities, fieldcraft and operational skills required for sniper missions.
The training programme also provided an opportunity for soldiers and instructors from the two armies to exchange professional knowledge, operational experiences and best practices related to sniper operations and battlefield employment.
Beyond enhancing individual military skills, the course contributed to closer interaction between the Indian and Armenian Armed Forces. Such training engagements are aimed at improving interoperability while allowing both sides to share expertise developed through their respective operational and training experiences.
The Indian Army said the programme further deepened the strategic partnership between India and Armenia and strengthened the bonds of friendship, mutual trust and professional cooperation between their armed forces.
The Infantry School at Mhow is one of the Indian Army’s premier training institutions and conducts specialised courses covering infantry tactics, weapons and combat skills for Indian as well as personnel from friendly foreign countries.
