Assistant Commandant Bhupender Nagar has joined the 209 Battalion of the Commando Battalion for Resolute Action (CoBRA), an elite unit of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), following his latest posting.
Commandant Sorabh Bhatnagar of 209 CoBRA formally welcomed Bhupender Nagar to the battalion, describing him as a fellow “Jungle Warrior” and extending best wishes for a successful and fulfilling tenure with the unit.
“Welcome to the 209 family,” the battalion said while marking the officer’s arrival and induction into the elite formation.
CoBRA battalions are specialised CRPF units trained primarily for operations in difficult jungle terrain and areas affected by Left-Wing Extremism. Personnel undergo specialised training in jungle warfare, fieldcraft, navigation and operations in challenging environments.
The induction of Assistant Commandant Bhupender Nagar adds another officer to the leadership team of 209 CoBRA as the battalion continues its operational responsibilities.
Commandant Sorabh Bhatnagar wished the newly posted officer success during his tenure and welcomed him into the close-knit fraternity of the unit’s Jungle Warriors.
