Lt Gen Rajesh Pushkar, AVSM, VSM, Army Commander, Southern Command, visited the Brigade of the Guards Regimental Centre and Army Postal Service Centre at Kamptee, where he was briefed on various aspects of training, operational responsibilities, disaster preparedness and welfare initiatives.
During his visit to the establishments, Lt Gen Rajesh Pushkar received an overview of technology-enabled training being undertaken for Agniveers. The briefing covered the use of technology in training and the efforts being undertaken to enhance the preparedness of Agniveers for their assigned responsibilities.
The Army Commander was also briefed on the operational roles of the establishments. The briefings provided an overview of their responsibilities and their contribution to the broader requirements of the Indian Army.
Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief (HADR) preparedness was another key aspect covered during the Army Commander’s visit. Lt Gen Rajesh Pushkar was briefed on the preparedness of the establishments for HADR-related responsibilities.
The Army Commander also received an overview of welfare initiatives being undertaken for Ex-Servicemen. The briefing covered measures and initiatives focused on the welfare of veterans associated with the establishments.
During the visit, Lt Gen Rajesh Pushkar also visited Solar Industries Private Limited in Nagpur. At the facility, he received an overview of munitions production and emerging trends in the defence industry.
The interaction at Solar Industries provided the Army Commander with an insight into munitions production and developments in the defence industry. The briefing also covered emerging trends shaping the sector.
Lt Gen Rajesh Pushkar commended the exemplary standards maintained across the establishments visited during his tour. He appreciated their contribution towards capability enhancement and operational readiness.
The Army Commander also appreciated their contribution towards Atmanirbharta in Defence. The visit thus covered both military establishments and the defence industry, with briefings focusing on training, operational roles, HADR preparedness, welfare initiatives, munitions production and emerging trends in the defence sector.
The visit highlighted the importance of technology-enabled training, operational preparedness, welfare of Ex-Servicemen and developments in the defence industry in supporting capability enhancement and operational readiness.
