The initiative sought to highlight the importance of voluntary blood donation and encourage personnel to contribute towards maintaining an adequate supply of safe blood for patients in need.

National Voluntary Blood Donation Day is observed in India on October 1 every year to raise awareness about the importance of voluntary blood donation and encourage eligible individuals to become regular donors.
The Ministry said the camp reaffirmed its commitment to promoting voluntary blood donation and supporting efforts aimed at ensuring the availability of safe blood for those requiring lifesaving transfusions.
