Nashik, October 25, 2026: The Indian Army organised a Mega Ex-Servicemen Rally at the Artillery Centre in Nashik, Maharashtra, under the aegis of Southern Command, reaffirming its commitment to the welfare and well-being of veterans, Veer Naris and their families.
The rally brought together ex-servicemen and their dependents from Nashik, Dhule and Nandurbar districts, providing a dedicated platform to address pension-related concerns, administrative grievances, healthcare requirements and other welfare issues.
The initiative aimed to ensure that former military personnel and their families could access essential support services conveniently, reducing the need to approach multiple offices for assistance.
A major highlight of the rally was the provision of pension and grievance redressal support, allowing veterans and their families to seek guidance on pension-related matters and raise concerns requiring administrative attention.
Dedicated assistance was also provided for Aadhaar-related services and the System for Pension Administration (Raksha), commonly known as SPARSH, the digital pension management system for defence pensioners.

The SPARSH assistance facility helped beneficiaries seek support with pension-related digital services, an important requirement for veterans who may face difficulties navigating online pension systems.

A medical camp was also organised as part of the outreach programme, offering on-the-spot healthcare assistance to participating veterans, Veer Naris and eligible family members.
The medical initiative highlighted the Army’s focus on ensuring accessible healthcare for former service personnel, particularly elderly veterans and families requiring medical attention.
The participation of Veer Naris, the widows of deceased military personnel, underscored the importance of extending welfare support to the families of soldiers who have served the nation.

By bringing together multiple welfare and administrative services at a single venue, the rally provided an opportunity for direct interaction between veterans, their families and support personnel.
Such outreach programmes play an important role in maintaining strong ties between the serving military community and former soldiers, ensuring that veterans continue to receive institutional support after retirement.
The Mega Ex-Servicemen Rally at Nashik reflected the Indian Army’s continuing efforts to strengthen veteran welfare mechanisms and provide practical assistance to military families across the region.
The initiative reinforced Southern Command’s commitment to honouring the service and sacrifices of ex-servicemen while ensuring that veterans, Veer Naris and their dependents remain connected to the Army’s welfare and support network.
