Highlighting its dual role as both a surveillance tool and a weapon drone, he underscored its ability to target enemies with pinpoint accuracy using a four-hand grenade MGM rifle.

“For his remarkable accomplishments, Havildar Varindar Singh has been bestowed with the Vishisht Seva Medal by the President of India this year,” stated military authorities, acknowledging his exemplary service and dedication to innovation.
The Vishisht Seva Medal (VSM), a revered decoration within the Indian Armed Forces, is conferred to honor distinguished service of a high order. Crafted from bronze and adorned with a golden ribbon featuring three dark blue stripes, the VSM symbolizes excellence and valor in service to the nation. Instituted on January 26, 1960, as VSM Class-III, it stands as a testament to the exceptional contributions of personnel across all levels in the Indian Armed Forces, with provisions for posthumous conferral reaffirming its significance in recognizing acts of bravery and selflessness.
