Wellington, Tamil Nadu, March 6, 2024 – The Defence Services Staff College (DSSC) in collaboration with the Observer Research Foundation (ORF) launched the seminal “India @ 100: Challenges and Opportunities in the Decade Ahead” seminar, igniting a vibrant forum for strategic discourse on India’s centennial blueprint.

The two-day event, held on March 6-7, drew in a multifaceted assembly of defence personnel, strategists, and scholars, setting the stage for profound discussions on a range of pivotal themes including internal security, energy resilience, climate change, and India’s economic trajectory towards prosperity.

The seminar commenced with an insightful session on internal security, chaired by Sameer P., featuring distinguished speakers such as Praveen Swami, Yashovardhan Azad, Prabha Rulliao, and Rajiv Sinha. This panel laid bare the evolving dynamics and imminent challenges facing India, marking a critical reflection for the future leaders of the Indian Armed Forces.

The economic session, termed an “economic rollercoaster,” was led by Gautam Chikermane alongside Subhomoy Bhattacharjee, Gaurie Dwivedi, and Apurv Mishra.
