Armed Forces Medical Chiefs Meet Lt Governor Joshi to Boost ANI Healthcare

Lieutenant General Daljit Singh, Director General of Armed Forces Medical Services (DGAFMS), and Surgeon Vice Admiral Arti Sarin, Director General Medical Services (Navy) at Naval Headquarters (NHQ), held a constructive meeting with Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor Admiral DK Joshi (Retired) to discuss medical support initiatives for serving and retired Armed Forces personnel and their families in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands (ANI).

The meeting, held at the behest of DGAFMS and DGMS (Navy), focused on apprising the Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor about the status of medical support being provided and charting roadmaps to achieve common healthcare goals for the people of ANI.

The meeting served as a platform for Lt Gen Daljit Singh and Surg VAdm Arti Sarin to provide an update on the various medical support initiatives being undertaken by the Armed Forces Medical Services (AFMS) and the Indian Navy to cater to the healthcare needs of serving and retired personnel, as well as their families, stationed in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands.

During the discussions, Lt Gen Daljit Singh and Surg VAdm Arti Sarin engaged in constructive dialogue with Hon’ble Lt Governor Admiral DK Joshi, sharing insights and perspectives on enhancing healthcare infrastructure, facilities, and services in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands.

They explored collaborative strategies and synergies to address healthcare challenges and improve the overall health and well-being of the Armed Forces community and the local populace.

The meeting underscored the commitment of the Armed Forces Medical Services and the Indian Navy to work closely with the local administration and stakeholders to achieve common healthcare objectives and priorities.
