Named after the steadfast Aravali mountain range, INS Aravali will play a pivotal role in supporting the Navy’s information and communication centres, which are central to India’s Command, Control, and Maritime Domain Awareness (MDA) framework.

Guided by the motto ‘सामुद्रिकसुरक्षायाः सहयोगं’ or “Maritime Security through Collaboration”, the base reflects a collaborative ethos, working seamlessly with naval units, MDA centres, and allied stakeholders to strengthen India’s maritime security.

The crest of INS Aravali features mountain imagery symbolising the enduring strength of the Aravali range, along with a rising sun that represents vigilance, resilience, energy, and the dawn of new technological capabilities in communications and MDA.

According to officials, the establishment of INS Aravali marks a significant step in enhancing India’s maritime preparedness and safeguarding national interests in an increasingly complex security environment.
