As part of a motivational and exposure tour, a contingent of 95 Class IX cadets, including 8 girl cadets, from Sainik School Bijapur visited the prestigious Military College of Electronics & Mechanical Engineering (MCEME) in Secunderabad today.
The visit aimed to familiarise young cadets with the Indian Armyโs advanced training infrastructure and technological edge in the domain of Electronics and Mechanical Engineering. During their tour, the students received an overview of MCEMEโs pivotal role in training officers and personnel of the Corps of Electronics & Mechanical Engineers (EME). They were also introduced to ongoing research initiatives, innovation projects, and state-of-the-art laboratories that contribute to strengthening the Armyโs operational effectiveness.
Faculty officers from different wings of MCEME interacted with the cadets, offering insights into career opportunities in the Indian Army and motivating them to pursue a life of service to the nation. Special emphasis was placed on inspiring girl cadets, reaffirming the institutionโs commitment to fostering greater participation of women in the Armed Forces.
The visit highlighted MCEMEโs dedication to outreach and its mission to nurture the next generation of โtechno-warriors,โ while instilling values of discipline, innovation, and national pride among young aspirants.
