Lieutenant General Pratik Sharma, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Northern Command, today interacted with participants of the Northern Command Idea & Innovation Competition, an initiative aimed at harnessing creativity and practical problem-solving skills of soldiers and officers to meet operational challenges in the modern battlefield.
During the interaction, the Army Commander commended the participants for their ingenuity, dedication, and ability to approach complex issues with a solutions-oriented mindset. He appreciated the diverse range of innovative ideas presented, spanning technological applications, tactical enhancements, and administrative improvements designed to strengthen the overall effectiveness of Northern Command.
Lt Gen Sharma highlighted the growing significance of innovation in addressing contemporary and future security threats, especially in the dynamic operational environment of Northern Command. He underlined that the Indian Army must remain agile, adaptive, and technologically driven to stay ahead of adversaries. The Commander further urged all ranks to institutionalize innovation as a culture within the Army, ensuring that every soldier contributes to developing indigenous and practical solutions tailored to field realities.
