The Military College of Telecommunication Engineering (MCTE), Mhow, celebrated its 79th Raising Day with great pride and ceremonial grandeur on 01 October 2025. The occasion marked nearly eight decades of the institutionโs exceptional service in shaping communication and information warfare leaders for the Indian Armed Forces.
The celebrations commenced with a solemn wreath-laying ceremony at the War Memorial, where Lt Gen Vivek Dogra, Commandant, MCTE, and Colonel Commandant of the Corps of Signals, paid heartfelt homage to the fallen heroes who made the supreme sacrifice in service to the nation. As part of the ceremony, distinguished personnel and achievers of the Corps of Signals were also felicitated for their outstanding contributions, reflecting the Corpsโ legacy of excellence, innovation, and dedication.
The day-long event was marked by a series of spectacular displays and demonstrations that captivated the audience. Highlights included a thrilling Daredevils Motorcycle Display, a mesmerizing aero show by microlights and power hang gliders of the #AANC performed by The Mountain Eagle Team, and a breathtaking skydiving demonstration by Lt Col Mayank Nagpal. These events showcased the courage, skill, and precision of the Indian Armed Forces and were witnessed by a gathering of distinguished veterans, officers, and members of the MCTE fraternity.
As MCTE enters its 80th year, the institution continues to stand as a centre of excellence in military communication and technology, playing a pivotal role in preparing the Indian Army for the evolving challenges of the digital battlefield.
