Chief of Army Staff, General Upendra Dwivedi, conferred the prestigious Veteran Achievers Award on Colonel Shagun Bhatnagar (Retd), Major Aditya Vikram Singh (Retd), Lance Naik Sodha Dipubha Ratanji (Retd), and Naik Bharat Bhai J Suthar (Retd) on 01 October 2025 at Bhuj, recognising their remarkable contributions to nation-building and their continued spirit of service long after hanging up the uniform.
The award celebrates veterans who have demonstrated exceptional dedication, leadership, and commitment in diverse fields, continuing to uphold the values of the Indian Army while serving the nation in new capacities.
Colonel Shagun Bhatnagar (Retd) has played a vital role in uplifting the veteran community in Kutch district. He actively facilitated operational and training events, including the Multi-Modal Adventure Expedition, and has strengthened civil-military relations through impactful outreach programmes in schools and villages.
Major Aditya Vikram Singh (Retd), now serving as DGM (HR & Admin) at Adani Green RE Park, provided crucial engineering and logistics support during Operation Sindoor, enabling the successful deployment of troops in the Rann. His post-retirement career continues to reflect his enduring leadership and dedication to national service.
Naik Bharat Bhai J Suthar (Retd), currently Secretary of the Kutch Ex-Servicemen Association, has been instrumental in mobilising veteran participation in rallies and outreach initiatives while also addressing key welfare issues impacting the veteran community.
Lance Naik Sodha Dipubha Ratanji (Retd) demonstrated extraordinary commitment to disaster management during recent monsoon floods, ensuring the safety of people and livestock. He also played a significant role in facilitating the implementation of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) for deserving families.
These decorated veterans exemplify the Army’s enduring ethos of discipline, leadership, and selfless service.
