In a display of extraordinary courage, Lance Havildar Palash Ghosh and Lance Naik Sujay Ghosh attained Veergati while operating in Kokernag, Anantnag. Both soldiers were part of a Counter-Terrorism (CT) team conducting operations in extremely challenging conditions.
During the mission, heavy snowfall and treacherous terrain posed severe challenges, yet the bravehearts continued their duty, ultimately sacrificing their lives in the line of duty. Lance Havildar Palash Ghosh hailed from Rukunpur village in Murshidabad, West Bengal, while Lance Naik Sujay Ghosh displayed unmatched valor alongside him.
