On the occasion of Electronics and Mechanical Engineers (EME) Corps Day, a solemn wreath-laying ceremony was conducted at the National War Memorial, New Delhi, to pay homage to the fallen heroes of the Corps.
Lieutenant General Rajiv Kumar Sahni, Director General EME and Colonel Commandant of the Corps, led the ceremony and laid a wreath on behalf of all ranks of the Corps of EME. Serving personnel and veterans of the Corps joined him in paying rich tributes to the Bravehearts who made the supreme sacrifice in the line of duty.
The event reflected the Corps’ enduring commitment to its motto—‘Karam Hi Dharma’ (Work is Worship)—and its continued dedication to ensuring the operational readiness and technological excellence of the Indian Army.
The Corps of EME, established to provide engineering support to the Army’s vast range of mechanical, electrical, electronic, and optical equipment, has evolved into one of the most technologically advanced arms of the Indian Army. Over the decades, it has played a critical role in enhancing combat efficiency through innovation, maintenance, and modernization of military hardware.
As the Corps celebrates its proud legacy, the event at the National War Memorial stood as a fitting tribute to its heroes—those who have served with excellence and those who continue to uphold the Corps’ proud tradition of technical brilliance, courage, and service to the nation.
