Maj Gen Salil Seth, General Officer Commanding, Madhya UP Sub Area (MUPSA), laid a solemn wreath at the Smritika War Memorial as he relinquished command, paying homage to the fallen heroes who made the supreme sacrifice in the service of the nation. The poignant ceremony reflected the enduring values of service, sacrifice, and dedication that form the cornerstone of the Indian Army’s ethos.
During the occasion, Maj Gen Salil Seth expressed his heartfelt gratitude to all ranks of MUPSA for their professionalism, commitment, and collective effort over the past two years.
Under his leadership, the formation witnessed remarkable progress across multiple domains including the welfare of veterans and Veer Naris, significant enhancement of healthcare services, strengthening of military–civil cooperation, and the creation of key infrastructural assets that improved the overall quality of life within the area of responsibility.
The General lauded the spirit and dedication of the personnel who contributed to these achievements, noting that their teamwork and perseverance had strengthened the formation’s operational and administrative foundations. In his parting message, he urged all ranks to uphold the proud traditions of the Indian Army and continue to serve with honour, discipline, and pride, taking MUPSA to even greater heights in the years to come.
