Lieutenant General Anindya Sengupta, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Surya Command, visited forward areas in the Garhwal sector and Joshimath to assess the operational preparedness and readiness of formations deployed in the region’s challenging high-altitude terrain.
During the visit, the Army Commander interacted with troops from various units, commending their unwavering dedication, professionalism, and adaptability in executing operations under demanding conditions. He also lauded the formations for the seamless integration of cutting-edge technology into their operational systems, significantly enhancing situational awareness and mission efficiency.
Lt Gen Sengupta emphasised the importance of maintaining peak operational readiness, continuous training, and technological innovation to effectively counter emerging security challenges along the sensitive frontier.
