Don’t Carry Liquor In Bihar, Indian Army Warns Soldiers

THE ARMY has warned both serving and retired military personnel not to carry liquor while travelling in Bihar, after some of its personnel were arrested for violating the state government’s prohibition law.

The Canteen Services Directorate (CSD) of the Quartermaster General’s Branch has sent a letter to all command headquarters of the Army, Andaman and Nicobar Command, Ordnance Factory Board, Directorate General Assam Rifles, Naval Headquarters, Air Headquarters and Coast Guard Headquarters.

The letter points out that service personnel, either transiting through Bihar or going to the state, were being arrested for possession of liquor despite possessing relevant authorisation letters.

Indian Army Captain Caught With 22 Liquor Bottles In Bihar

“In view of the above Act, it is advised that service personnel (serving/retired) while transiting through/going to state of Bihar should not carry/ be in possession of any liquor with them,” says the letter.

In April this year, the Nitish Kumar government declared Bihar a dry state, imposing total prohibition on the sale and consumption of liquor.Don’t Carry Liquor In Bihar, Indian Army Warns Soldiers

The Army Headquarters has pointed out that the Bihar government’s order are not applicable on military cantonments. However, the letter makes it clear that Danapur is the only notified cantonment in Bihar, and other military stations in the state are not exempted. The letter advises military personnel not to consume or carry liquor outside the Danapur cantonment area.

Earlier this month, a case was registered against a Captain after he was caught with 22 bottles of liquor at the Hajipur railway station. The Army officer had brought the liquor from Shillong, where he was posted.

In another incident, the GRP arrested an Army jawan who was travelling on the Jammu Tawi-Guwahati Amarnath Express after a search of his baggage revealed some liquor bottles.

10 Things Officer Notices In You during SSB Personal Interview

0
Navy SSB Interview

Personal interview is the technique in the SSB schedule, where the candidate is accessed face to face to analyse him by talking to him in a causal form. It is always perceived as a casual talking period. But the depth of it is always seen from the point of view of the IO. The IO observes the candidate very deeply to judge his personality accurately. For all SSB aspirants, who are preparing or expecting their SSB in immediate future, here we are having some points, which are always noticed by the IO to get the clear image of the candidate.

  1. Eye Contact – The first thing that IO notices in you is your eye contact. You have to keep your eye contact with the IO throughout the entire personal interview in order to show confidence.
  2. Confidence – Your confidence is observed by the IO by the way you enter the room, the way you sit, the way you stand and walks out of the room. Apart from these, your expressions and way of responding also show your confidence quotient during the personal interview.
  3. Concentration – IO notices your concentration or presence in the talks by asking different kinds of questions and suddenly changing the topic.Indian Navy SSB Interview
  4. Posture – The way you sit, your hands and leg movements, coordination of expressions are the main physical traits that IO points out during the interview process. It shows your internal strength.
  5. Face Expressions – While talking to IO, your face expressions matters a lot. A happy, lively and smiley face always leaves a bold impact over the IO. While a serious or shy face expression is always parted out in a negative category.
  6. Communication Skills – Your interruption while talking, correct use of words, correct use of language to express your thoughts etc. are observed during your interview process. Communication skill can be improved by regular practice.
  7. Expressions In Stiff Situations – Sometimes IO asked a situation or goes deep into any of your personal incident to check your response in stiff and brainstorming situations, where you have to think, respond and stay active for the questions from the IO.
  8. Temper Control – Your temper management is also observed by the IO. Some loss temper candidates get it hard to manage their body language during the personal interview process, which is noticed by the IO.
  9. Way Of Expression – An impressive way to speak out in personal interview is to stay clear, to the point and easily understandable during the interview. If you don’t know the answer of any question, then it is better to accept than to mount a heap of 100 lies.
  10. Commemoration And Attention – Rapid fire, the most feared part of personal interview, is to check your attention in listening and commemorating the questions and replying in the given manner. Sometimes the IO counter-questions you to interrupt and checks your mental strength to come back to the questions.

Conclusion – Being relaxed, attentive and keeping a constant flow in your interview can make a good impact over the IO. Stay stress-free, keep the ears active and attentive and respond directly, without beating the bushes. The IO is trained and experienced to handle about 5-8 candidates daily and is an expert in finding the lies and bluffs. So practice and face the personal interview with confidence.

All the best.

How I Cracked My NDA SSB Interview In 2nd Attempt

How I Cracked My NDA SSB Interview In 2nd Attempt

Hello everyone, I’m ABHISHEK DHAUNDIYAL and I feel very proud to write about my success story and hope that it will motivate many.

Having got screened out from 33 SSB Bhopal, I had got another opportunity this time at 12 SSB Bangalore. Our reporting was scheduled on 20th of August and around 80 candidates reported. On the same day, we were allotted chest numbers and were divided into different groups. After that, we had our dinner and slept.

The next day was our screening day. In the morning we were told to report at 06:00 hrs with our luggage and after that we had our intelligence tests which are quite easy but just need some practice and proper time management.

After that we had our PPDT test, we were shown a picture which had a fire type of scene, so I made a story around Uttarakhand forest fires and then we were taken for discussion.

In my group there were 16 candidates and the main tip for group discussion is the narration part. If your narration part is good then you are in. After narration ended my group discussion hardly lasted for around 1 min as it was a fish market.

After that, we were collected for the announcement of results. From a batch of around 80 candidates 30 candidates got screened in and among those 30 I was also there and my new chest no was 20. We were briefed, filled our PIQ and after that allotted new rooms.

The next day was psych day. Our tests started early in the morning. For TAT observe the picture carefully in 30 secs and then write a sensible story around it, and write in good handwriting. For WAT reading newspaper would help for sure and for SRT write the first correct thing that comes in your mind and the next thing is that write your SELF-DESCRIPTION in such a manner that it’s similar to your PIQ form.

I attempted all the questions in psych and practice would help for sure. The next day GTO started with two group discussion in which I was able to give 4-5 points. After that, we had our GPE in which I could give 4 good suggestions and then after that our PGT started in which I think I dominated a bit my points were good enough and the same happened in HGT. Lecturette and individual obstacles went good and I could speak on Right To Education and could do 11 obstacles.

The next day we started with command task and I think I was given a normal command task but before that the GTO had drilled me on some questions about my family and on navy. I was happy that I could answer all the questions properly.

After that, we had our FGT and then I was told that my interview was scheduled at 13:00hrs. I reached the waiting room at 12:30hrs but the IO came at 15:30hrs and my interview started at 15:45hrs and it lasted for around 1 hour and 10mins in which the IO asked me questions from science to sports and about navy and the current affairs and even about south china sea.NDA SSB Interview

To be honest, after my interview I was quite sure that I would get recommended but still hoped for the best.

The main tip for the ssb interview is to never bluff; no one is a master of anything so answer sensibly.

The next my conference lasted for about 2 mins in which I was asked about my stay and If had any suggestions to give.

The main tip here is to dress neatly, remember the first impression is the last impression.

After that, the technical officer came and it was the time of results and then he started calling out the chest no’s. Chest no 1, 4,8,12,9,19 and then he called out chest number 20. I stood up and shouted my name and spelled out my name.

Out of 30 candidates, 15 candidates got recommended and it was a very happy moment for me.

So guys, the main thing when you all are going for SSB is that that enjoy it and think that you have come for a picnic and try to participate thoroughly.

And at the end, I would like to only say.

WORK HARD IN SILENCE AND LET YOUR SUCCESS MAKE THE NOISE

12 Brain Teaser Questions Asked In SSB Interview

0
12 Brain Teaser Questions Asked In SSB Interview

The personality analysis in SSB is done using various tests and getting a perfect match for the Armed Forces is the ultimate need. The basic theory of Mansa, Vachna, and Karma is used to get the correct personality frame of the candidate. Here, Vachna indicates the personal interview technique. The technique here is to find out the relation between what the candidates speak with what he thinks (psychology) and what he does (ground tasks). The variety of questions asked in a personal interview is unexpected, but still, some of the brain-teasing questions are there that need intense mind involvement to reply. Some of them are mentioned below.

12 Brain Teaser Questions Asked In SSB Interview

  1. Being a repeater, why don’t you join army as OR and try for ACC and other entries for internal commission?
  2. You smoke and drink, even after being aware of its deadly effects. Why do you do that?
  3. What do you think, having a girlfriend is a wastage of time or a need for mental stability?
  4. If you are asked to choose one out of all three forces (army, navy and air force), which will be your choice?
  5. There are several legal cases surfaced related to Armed Forces and you still want to join it. Why?
  6. Don’t you think we are doing partiality by dividing freshers, repeaters and recommended candidates?
  7. Describe yourself in one sentence.
  8. Your girlfriend forces you to marry her, but your parents are not accepting her. What will you do?
  9. Tell me 5 -7 uses of this object (it can be a sharpener, pencil, glass, or other casually usable material).
  10. If you are given the choice to serve as an IAS officer or an Armed Forces officer, then what will you choose and why?
  11. Tell me 5 incidents when you lied to your parents.
  12. What was the worst mistake of your life?
oir test and ppdt

Conclusion – The above questions were asked by candidates to check their mental activity in tough situations. The response to these questions depends on the personality and mentality of the candidate. Fabricated answers are easily busted and it is hard to bluff the interviewing officer. Stay relaxed and answer these in your own way.

PoK Could’ve Been Ours Had We Opted For Military Solution: Arup Raha

0
ARUP RAHA

Air Chief Marshal Arup Raha said that PoK (Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir) would have been ours if India had opted for a military solution then rather than taking a “moral high ground” and rushing to the UN for a peaceful solution.

He also describing PoK as a “thorn in our flesh,” saying India did not follow a “pragmatic approach” to its security needs.ARUP RAHA

He went on to say that when hordes of raiders attacked Jammu and Kashmir in 1947 (the tribal militia issue), it was IAF’s transport planes which helped Indian soldiers and equipment to reach the battleground.

These comments are in sync with the view that India did not use its superiority in conventional arms in settling the Kashmir dispute at a time when Pakistan had not acquired nuclear weapons.

Raha said that in the past, India has been reluctant in using military power, especially air power, and did not apply its full force in achieving the end of conflicts.

According to him, the only time when air power was fully utilised was in the 1971 war and the outcome was creation of Bangladesh after just 15 days of conflict.

The IAF chief’s remarks come as India has conveyed to Pakistan that it will discuss the issue of “earliest possible vacation” of Pakistani Administered Kashmir during the upcoming Foreign Secretary level talks in Islamabad.

India has also raised the issue of Balochistan, in Pakistan, with Prime Minister Narendra Modi himself commenting on the issue during his Independence Day speech and speaking about the alleged rights violations there during an all-party meeting earlier.

Well said Chief! At least someone has the courage to speak the truth. We have been let down by our political diplomacy time and again and now, you give us some hope of a better Kashmir.

India-US Signs ‘Logistics Exchange Memorandum of Agreement’ (LEMOA)

0
Logistics Exchange Memorandum of Agreement (LEMOA)

India and the United States have signed on a landmark defence agreement (LEMOA) that will increase the military cooperation between two of the world’s largest democracies.

India has signed the Logistics Exchange Memorandum of Agreement (LEMOA) with the US which will allow both of their militaries to work closely, allowing them to use each other’s bases for repair and replenishment of supplies.

It doesn’t necessarily have anything to do with the setting up of a base, though.

Basically it is about a protocol that allows both sides to exchange logistic supplies. The classic example is if, say, an Indian naval ship is in Southeast Asia and needs fuel at short notice, and a US tanker is in the near vicinity — the latter can provide the fuel to the Indian vessel.Logistics Exchange Memorandum of Agreement (LEMOA)

But this does not imply we become a US military ally. We are not obliged to provide support to any and every US military operation in the region. Every LEMOA arrangement has to be negotiated in advance.

It will be more useful in case of humanitarian assistance and disaster relief. It does make you a partner in terms of providing public good.

The logistics agreement between the two countries was first proposed in 2003 but India did not agree to its signing until earlier this year.
