7 Basic Exercises You Must Do Before Joining Indian Military Academy

7 Basic Exercises You Must Do Before Joining Indian Military Academy

It is imperative that Candidates desirous of joining the Indian Military Academy attain a certain degree of physical fitness, which will facilitate their smooth adaptation to the training schedule at the IMA. It has been observed that a majority of the selected candidates, particularly those hailing from urban areas, are in poor physical condition on joining the Academy, as a result of which they find it difficult to cope up with the training routine.
Books For SSB Interview Preparation [ 100% Recommended]

Inadequate physical conditioning also inhibits the GC academic performance. Prospective Candidates are therefore advised to keep themselves in a good physical state, by following the under mentioned regime daily:

7 Basic Exercises You Must Do Before Joining Indian Military Academy

  1. Running (5 kms in 30 minutes): You can begin a running program by walking, or by using a run-walk combination. Walking begins the conditioning process necessary for running, just in a gentler manner. It will stimulate your heart and lungs and begin the process of toughening up muscles, tendons, ligaments, bones, joints, and connective tissues. Walk with purpose; you should feel your breathing rate and heart rate increase so you know you are giving a good effort—without feeling uncomfortable.
  2. Skipping (10 to 15 minutes): It is one of the best cardio and HIIT (High-Intensity Interval Training) workout.  Jumping rope is known to burn around 1300 calories/hour (now that’s high!). That’s an effective way to melt your fat, right?
  3. Push-ups (minimum 30 each):A push-up is a total-body functional movement that is great for increasing strength and has the added benefit of engaging the core and lower body. Since it’s a bodyweight exercise, it can be done just about anywhere—with a ton of variations to liven things up.
  4. Sit-ups (minimum 30 each): Situps are a multi-muscle exercise. While they don’t specifically target stomach fat (Note: neither do crunches!), situps actually work the abdominals as well as other muscles groups, including:
    • chest
    • hip flexors
    • lower back
    • neckOTA Chennai Role Climbing
  5. Chin ups (minimum 08 Nos.): These exercises work your entire upper body, especially the muscles of your back, as well as your abs and your biceps.
  6. Rope Climbing (minimum 3 to 4 meters): Rope climbing is a tremendous grip, biceps, and upper body builder that can benefit powerlifters, football players, strongmen, arm-wrestlers, and Olympic lifters.
  7. Basics of Swimming: Swimming is something you must consider if you going to join any military training academy. If you no experience in swimming you might have a tough time at the academy. However, nonswimmers will be taught swimming at the IMA. One of the biggest benefits of swimming is that it truly works your entire body, head to toe. Swimming:
    • increases your heart rate without stressing your body
    • tones muscles
    • builds strength
    • builds endurance

Why Interviewing Officers Don’t Recommend Candidate Based On Sympathy

3
Why Interviewing Officer Don't Recommend Candidate Based On Sympathy

The rush towards the armed forces in India is still a speedy momentum in the very modern generation. The move increased as a complex of interest into the beauty of olive-green uniform, love for the nation with reputed services in fact as the force of parental keys too.

The life of army men has paved his path with strict disciplinary anthem which is the first to be followed during the entire journey as his attire. Knowingly or unknowingly our youth are much interested in the routine perhaps it’s a proud for us too. But all army wishers, we call them “faujis” are not get cleared in interviews. Some are rejected on the basis of Psychological and Group tasks exercises rest by medical rejections.

Never back down and do not worry: Said by Retd Col Asokan who currently the Managing Director of Olive green Institution Pvt Ltd Chandigarh. He also not forget to share a beautiful thought to the faujis who wish for an entry and unlucky. On behalf of all faujis across the nation we asked a single question.

How cannot an interviewer not feeling a dot of sadness when the many bunches of candidates come for SSB interview?

The reply by Retd. colonel was actually an answer of all questions to our life like a think-tank to be followed.

He says, it’s not just a particular time we felt. We care and love our children who come to us for SSB Interview. We feel sincere guilty and sadness ten times than the candidate because we observe their effort to present them by their dedication and knowledge we unanimously agreed. But as said if we select these candidates on the basis of sympathy not with proper code of conduct. He will be rejected for sure and obviously he/she gets hurt or saddened. Even us too that’s the significant truth. The truth has to be same everywhere that’s how it is relate. Take an instance we take the candidate who doesn’t contribute to the OLQs(Officer like qualities) and we selected with sympathy, tomorrow he is the leader of a team,  the main decision maker takes a team with a mission with his lack of desired inappropriate decision. One of his subordinate injured to death, the leader has to admit its responsibility. Its ok he could take but deceased soldier’s wife will live life as a widower that even can say as ok. But deceased soldiers children. What crime he has done to live like an infant. Who can bear this responsibility? No one. No one can take that responsibility that is the absolute truth in fact. We know the pain of an infant and even though for time being the candidate is rejected they may have an absolute different career to go far forward. But the child has to live like an orphan with a widow mother. Therefore, we never compromise on our decisions in this particular concept. Why Interviewing Officer Don't Recommend Candidate Based On Sympathy

There shows the vital role of an effective decision making in life .Never back down with only defense career. You have to think if rejected, you could be more success in a different career with your role. A great example is our former president Dr.Abdul Kalam Sir; he had chosen to be an air force pilot but reached as the supreme commander of armed forces. Do not worry.

“Canvas of an eye is always repeated

Whether pleasant whether warm it’s repeated

The voice of soldier’s mouth preventing weep

Of a widow by his monumental judgment”

Not A Success Story But SSB Interview A Lesson For Life

2
indian navy ssb interview
  1. TES-30: (24 SSB Bangalore)
  2. 10+2 Cadet Entry:  (NSB Coimbatore) (SATYAM KUMAR – S-47490 )

Here today I’m describing my complete journey of my latest attempt:

NSB at Coimbatore 2014 : Around 120 candidates reported and after documents verification the first test of the day:

Day 1: 10 OCT  After documents verifications, chest no. were allotted to us, MINE WAS 42.

Intelligence Test began: The test was simple, it only required concentration logics and presence of mind.  When test Result of Intelligence test was declared, a total of 26 candidates made to second test of the day:

PP&DT. Picture was shown which had about 4-5 characters , scene of a village and the village was surrounded by water. Well everyone made a common assumption of flood and then the discussion began.

The funniest part in the PPDT test was shared by one of my close friend. In his group instead of having discussion on the story every candidate was much more interested in deciding the number of characters, their age and gender. Much of the time of the group discussion was whiled away and my friend just uttered a sentence at the end “ Let’s come to a conclusion”. This was the only sentence what he told because of which he was screened in  ( According to my friend ).

Everything was done by afternoon. Filling up the forms took the time till late in the evening. We enjoyed a lot in the assessment room.

Day 2: 11 OCT : PSYCHOLOGY TEST:

  • TAT: 11 pictures and a blank picture were flashed on screen for 30 seconds each. For the last slide I Framed a story having Capt. Vikram Batra as my character.
  • WAT:Words  were known to us but due to shortage of time making a positive meaningful sentence was the task. I completed 45/60.
  • SRT:The Srt’s were really interesting. One could easily face these things in real life. I completed 57/60.
  • SD:I had my own preplanned story .

Day 2: After the  Psychology test we all were relieved for the day . We were given the permission to stroll around the city . Coimbatore was a new place for many of us . Thanks to state transport because of which we managed to stroll.

The two famous places we visited was

  1. Brookfield mall
  2. Fun cinema

Day 3: 12 OCT : Personal Interview:

Personal Interview is the main part of analyzing a candidate. I was well prepared for it. I was a bit confident as I covered every aspect. My chest no was 9. I was waiting for my turn to come for the Interview.
One of my close friend was being interviewed at that time.
Interviewer : Analyse yourself and rate accordingly.
Interviewee : Sir I would like to rate myself 6
Interviewer : Why is it so? You have mentioned in your PIQ form that you are a studious person.
Interviewee : Yes sir , but there are candidates who are well equipped with knowledge regarding Geo-Politics in the Barack.
Interviewer : Who?
Interviewee : Sir, chest no 9 who is waiting for his turn. He is going to be interviewed next.
Interviewer : Ok.

His interview got completed and we were given instruction to have the lunch and then report again at the scheduled time . We went to Ante Room to have lunch . I was getting nervous by the time I took Roti and Sabji in my plate my friend came to me and said Bhai be prepared he is going to ask you a hell lot of Questions . I said why is it so ?? Till now no candidate has been asked that much. He said “bhai maine tera naam liya” and he narrated me all the session.

By that time the Instructor came and announced my chest no and asked me to get dressed up and report . I handed my plate to my friend. Got good luck wishes from my friends. The moment I was arranging my certificates I was thinking about the questions what he is gonna ask.

Every step towards the Interview room was like a way to heaven :P.
As soon I entered the room I was shocked the way he welcomed me. He said “Welcome Mr.Satyam Kumar , where were you till now . We are looking for candidates like you” and shooked hands with me .

I was feeling good that ok he is having a good impression on me. Half of my job is done. But that was not something unusual. Later on I came to know that he greeted everyone the same way.

The interview session began. I am going to narrate in the following way :

Interviewer : Have a glass of water
Me : Its fine sir ! I am ok
Interviewer : So, let’s begin the session. Be comfortable.
Me : Sir (with a smile )
Interviewer : What were you feeling / thinking when you were waiting for your turn?
Me : Nothing much sir , there is a fighter plane model in the garden. I was imagining myself to be its fighter pilot . And I was enjoying the cool breeze and the nature.
Interviewer : Here are the rapid-fire questions – Try to answer them in the chronological manner.
(He asked a series of question and I answered everything as I was well prepared with the rapid fire questions )

Me : Sir , My parents are happy when I am happy and this is a hypothetical question. It won’t arise in my practical life . But still if it arises I’ll convince my parents. They won’t disagree.
Interviewer : Ok (with a smile )

Interviewer : Who is your favourite actress?
Me : No one sir, as I don’t watch much of the movies.
Interviewer : your girlfriend?
Me : No sir (with a smile )
Interviewer : Are you a man ?
Me: Yes sir, 100% medically certified
Interviewer : Well  I wish you get recommended from here. We’ll come to know in the medicals ( We both laughed )

Interviewer : You have mentioned in your PIQ form that your passion is to play hockey. Brief me regarding its history.
Me : (Started) Sir, Hockey is not India’s National game.
Interviewer : Is it ?? (He was acting I believe, actually he was judging me whether I know the reason or not ?)
Me: I explained the whole incident. He was impressed.
Interviewer : If by chance you don’t get selected what will you do ??
Me : Sir, I ll take it positively. I ll believe there was something that I lacked and I’ll improve it for the next attempt.
Interviewer : Any questions ??
Me : Sir, Agar select nahi hue to reason please bata dijiye 😛
Interviewer : (With a smile ). We don’t reveal it . You have to analyse yourself and improve it for the next attempt .
Me : Sure Sir !!
Interviewer : Good luck .
Me : Thank you sir . (Left with a smile )

            Day 4: 13 Oct : GTO 1

indian navy ssb interview

Day 5:14 Oct : After Completion of 5 day testing, we went inside Conference room one by one. When I was waiting outside conference hall ,   my body was vibrating while I was sitting on the chair. When my turn came to go inside, though I was feeling  bit nervous but I had a smile on my face to show my confidence level. But this didn’t last much . As soon the President asked me to take my place , we were in advance given practice how to be seated in conference hall by the instructor . I didn’t see the placement of chair and didn’t calculated the appropriate distance from me and sat . The chair disbalanced . I said (Oh my god). Rather to adjust myself I was looking at the officers and their expressions . President said might be there some problem in the chair . He said so to make me comfortable . I took my seat .
The only question I was asked by the president was : Any suggestion you would like to give to improve the service provided.
Me : No sir , All the arrangements were absolutely fine sir . I was like ye kya hua “1 min mai hi conference khatam” .

The conference was over. The result was ready. We were waiting for the result in Ante Room . After sometimes, GTO came with result. Before announcing the result, he gave closing address by motivating all the candidates. After completion of it, he started announcing chest no. those who got recommended. Only one candidate was being recommended.

  1. My dear friends SSB is not regarding selecting a person or rejecting someone. Its just whether “The karma , The vacha , The mansa” matches or not . Having OLQ’s is the only way out one can get through . But it doesn’t mean that it has to be learnt or mugging up. Its regarding your natural way of living , your positive thinking that will develop your personality which has to be made over a time not just prior to interview. Please don’t try to mislead or boast about yourself or else they ll screw you up from all the angles . Be practical in your approach. Have a hobby in real not only to fill in your PIQ form .. Hobby is something in which creativity is involved .
  2. Best thing about SSB is that they teach you how to lead a life with confidence keeping the time frame in mind . How to get involved in things and with support of the mates solve a issue. Overall your personality trait is being developed. Even if you don’t get through SSB you learn quite interesting things and brings a change within you and makes you feel special from the res.

My dear friends remember only one thing – BE WHAT YOU ARE TO GET RECOMMENDED.

What To Do After NDA Written Exam?

1
NDA Ssb interview tips

Hello, Warriors! “I from NDA”. The three words; the words which ignites a very high of respect among defence aspirants and fills the person with pride. It’s the best, and the only ‘bestest’ thing that can happen to a die hard defence aspirant. However, accept it, only about 350 cadets make it to the NDA every six months. The rest being merit-out, non-qualified for SSB and non-recommended candidates.

Many aspirants have written the recently concluded NDA and NA examination, and there were about 5-6 lac applicants this time too. But, the big question, what should be done after the exam to join the defence?

Many aspirants take the exam this seriously that they even drop a year or two from their regular studies to prepare and join the prestigious institution. But, still, if in case, they couldn’t make it, their two whole years would literally be wasted!

So, the foremost thing to do is to plan. If you plan your way to success, your journey would be much easier. Planning for your life ahead is the road that will take you to earn that uniform. Planning and preparation are half the job done. Jot down your plans for life on a paper, just like a long term time-table. Even though it may look a little weird, but it’ll help.

If you are in class eleventh or twelfth, it’s a high time for you, start preparing for your next exam, for six months later, right now itself. Being consistent always helps. Dedicate at least two hours of your daily time to the written exam preparation. Come on, I mean, it’s just two hours from a whole lot of 24 hours! If it doesn’t work for you, start with studying one hour daily till you get the grip.

If you are a twelfth passed out, DO NOT TAKE A DROP. This is my sole advice to the people who think of studying the same syllabus over for one more time will help them again to crack those written test(s). How can you think of clearing the written by studying for one whole year again while you couldn’t do it during your regular studies?

My personal advice here is to go with Plan B; to join a graduation course and parallelly prepare for your upcoming exams. To select a graduation course of your choice, introspect yourselves and find your hobbies and dreams apart from defence. If not, then think of what you like apart from defence and go for it. If you are not among those hundreds selected from lacs of applications, you can proceed with your Plan B.

You get a lot of opportunities in Plan B, from Direct Entries to UPSC and AFCAT entries.

And still, god forbid, if you couldn’t make it to the forces (let’s be a bit practical here), you can go ahead with your dreams you liked apart from defence.

If you still have any queries regarding what to do next, you can get in touch with me by dropping a message through fb. I hope I could help you out with that.

Good Luck!

Air Force Chief ” Will Move Family Of Victim To IAF Area For Protection!”

0
Indian air force Delhi beef murder

Terming as “unfortunate” the lynching of a serving air warrior’s father over rumours of eating beef, IAF chief Air Chief Marshal Arup Raha said they are looking at the possibility of moving the family to an Air Force area. Asserting that such acts cannot be accepted, Raha said senior officers were in touch with Corporal Mohammad Sartaj and his family.

“Unfortunate incident or accident I would say. It is unfortunate that a serving Air Force personnel’s family has been affected resulting in death in the family. We are already in touch (with the family),” he said on Saturday while replying to questions at his annual news conference ahead of Air Force Day. “Whatever protection is required, we are giving it to him. We are trying to move (them) to some Air Force area. We are with him and our people are there to assist the family,” he said. IAF sources said Sartaj is currently posted in Chennai and efforts are on to either enable the rest of the family to move there or transfer him to an area where his family can be.

Sartaj’s father Aqlakh was beaten to death and his 22-year-old brother Danish was critically injured by a 200-strong mob which barged into their house on Monday night following rumours that the family had consumed cow meat. Raha said he is trying to meet Sartaj himself to take care of his and the family’s welfare.

Asked if he would be writing to the government in this regard, Raha said, “Writing to the state government or central government, I think is superfluous because everybody has understood in the government that such things cannot be accepted. Adequate actions are being taken at the government level, both central as well as in the state,” he said. He said whenever there is a security problem concerning any armed forces personnel, the force gets in touch with local authorities. “We write to them, we interact with them. Our local Air Force police interacts with them to provide protection to any armed forces personnel,” he said. Indian air force Delhi beef murder

Two main accused arrested

The Uttar Pradesh police on Saturday arrested two main accused — Shivam and Vishal — in connection with the Dadri lynching case. The total number of accused arrested in Dadri lynching has gone up to 10.

On Monday night, following rumours of cow slaughter, 50-year-old Mohammad Ikhlaq was killed by a mob in Greater Noida’s Bisada village just outside his house. As tension gripped the village and spread to nearby areas, another mob went on the rampage on Tuesday morning in Ooncha Amirpur — barely 5km from Bisada — demanding death penalty for those involved in cow slaughter.

Iqlakh’s family had alleged that Vishal forced the local temple priest to announce that cow was slaughtered and stored in their house. Earlier, Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal and some local Congress leaders were stopped from entering Bishada village to meet family Iqlakh by the villagers.

Police said the situation in the village had turned tense as women in the village had objected to presence of media and some people pelted stones at them. In view of the protests, entry to visitors was stopped and the administration was trying to pacify the agitated villagers, police said. “Once the situation becomes normal, visitors will be allowed entry,” they said.

Peeved at being stopped outside the village, Kejriwal, who was accompanied by some party leaders, questioned whey he was stopped from meeting the family when leaders like Asaduddin Owaisi and Mahesh Sharma were allowed.

“We are stopped by police and admin. Mahesh Sharma and Owaisi not stopped yest. Then why me? I am most peace loving. Want 2 just meet Ikhlaq’s family (sic),” the Delhi CM tweeted. AAP leaders claimed that police and administration officials stopped them and not villagers. Administration officials later took Kejriwal to NTPC guest house. A state Congress delegation led by Siraj Mehandi was also not allowed entry to Bishada village on.

The district administration said they have sealed the village as victim’s son has appealed that they want peace in their hour of grief. District magistrate NP Singh had said on Friday that the victim’s son Sartaj had given a written request that the family does not want to meet anyone as continuous stream of visitors were causing harassment to them.
