Best EKT Book

Being in engineering is tough but cracking AFCAT EKT exam needs you to revise the whole syllabus over again. Now guess what will happen when you will go on revising the whole engineering syllabus again right from the first-year subjects. Can’t even think of it right? Hence, with the success of our last two publications – Let’s Crack SSB Interview and Let’s Crack AFCAT, it gives us immense pleasure to present AFCAT EKT Book by SSBCrack.

Now, no more hassle of revising the whole engineering syllabus and no tension of sorting out the subjects for EKT from that syllabus. This book is strictly according to the AFCAT syllabus and pattern announced by the AFCAT Cell.

This means all your subjects, of your whole engineering, right from the first year, summed up at one place. Although we would recommend aspirants to once go through the important concepts and formulae given for each subject in this book and then move forward with multiple choice questions, the language of the book is simpler for easy understanding of concepts and theories as compared to other books in the market Remember how beneficial it was for you to refer previous years’ engineering papers just before the exams?

In the same line, this book contains solutions to previous year’s EKT questions along with numerous practice problems which are arranged topic wise. We hope you make the best use of this book by exploring many other features and get going to crack the EKT.

What You Need To Do To Be Successful In SSB

“SSB is a battle, fight it bravely” ~~ Jayendra Pratap Singh. Truly SSB is a battle of survival, I call it so because the winners survive and succeed till the end. No one realises the magic of SSB that it’s so tough an exam but still looks so easy, you will never realise what went wrong and why few amongst you would be selected and why few were not.

Even the predictions in the night during the last day at centre at the dormitory turns out wrong. It is so because you are judged for certain OLQ’s only and the assessors are specially trained to do so. They have a vast experience for judging the people from almost all the corners of country who come and live their dream.  Aspirants come there and go and they are from every state of India, hence they have rich experience of judging vast family background, diversity and culture. I have thought of few suggestions which might help to sustain the battle:

  • Do not try to pose what you are not. Be truthful and be yourself. Else you will be caught anyway
  • Be natural and don’t try to fake anything. Same things are tested so many times there that you will not realise where to speak what
     Be Successful In SSB
  • Don’t be a parrot to rattle out things whenever not needed. Apply common sense and then speak. Even if you speak less but whatever you say if it has quality no one can stop you from clearing.
  • Don’t try to over perform in GTO. Remember it’s not the place to prove individual potential, but it’s something where you need to carry the group across and that will only provide you access through the GTO rounds. SSB is such a exam where you are tested individually and i group also. Perform equally well. An officer cannot be individualistic.
  • In PI you will get sufficient chance to prove yourself as the interviews normally last for 45min to 1 hour and you will be judges on many aspects. You need to revisit your whole life in an interview and after coming out you will realise how great you were in all the phases and what more could be done to improve.
  • The various psychological rounds will test how as a person you are and how you pursue things in life. The family background, the values and moral you follow might also be tested as it has a greater impact in your life. Psychology is not fixed and varies as per the situation and the phase you are going through in life. The psychologist just suggests being a positive thinker in even the harsh situations of life and excelling because such situations test the courage.
These points might help you and would provide a glimpse of what is needed in SSB. Rest for any difficulty post your queries on facebook.

Preparation Strategy for Written Exams

There are some entries for the forces in which you have to first qualify a written exam in order to get into the forces as an officer. NDA, CDSE and AFCAT are such entries. Now you must understand the importance of these written exams because they are the first step towards your goal.

EKT Exam Books

As you know that written exams are important because you need to clear them for getting a call for the SSB secondly you need to do well in these exams because their marks are taken into consideration while preparing the final merit list, so if you don’t score well there are chances of being merit out. In this article we are going to discuss about the preparation strategy for these exams, which might help you to score well in them.

  1. The syllabus for these exams is vast, so you need to devote a decent amount of time for the preparation, don’t expect a one night wonder like the semester exams!
  2. The good part is that the syllabus is large but easy. All it requires is time. There is no thing very hard to understand kind in the syllabus. However you need to remember a lot of things so for doing so you need time.
    nda exam tips
  3. The first step to start your preparation is by knowing the syllabus and buying a good study material for it, it can be a good book or any study material for the exam you have chosen to give. Do a good research and buy a decent study material.
  4. Start making nutshell notes for whatever you study for the exam. This will help you for reference at the time of the main exam.
  5. If there is math’s involved, practice as much as you can every day. Make sure you write the formulas somewhere and also learn the tricks to solve the questions quicker.
  6. English in these exams is generally easy and scoring, if you are okay in English then practice more and become even better, so refer a good practice for this, we have given reviews for some books on our website.
  7. There are current affairs based questions in these exams, so make sure you read and are updated with relevant current affairs.
  8. The meaning of relevant current affairs here is that you should read current affairs portions based on your specific exams. Like for example the different organizations like BRICS, ASEAN, UNO etc. and the news related to their meetings and development are important, so are the news related to the different sports events, prizes etc.
  9. A few questions are always expected to come, like the booker prize winners or the winners of noble prize etc., also the winners of tennis events, and other important sports events. The recent winners of Bharat Ratna, Padma bhushan etc, and some information related to them, you must be prepared with.
  10. The best way to judge and understand the depth of the questions so as to predict the question paper is to solve the model papers and the previous year question papers.

Verbal Expression and Physical Stamina – Highly Trainable Qualities By Col. Kulwant Kataria

0

Verbal expression and physical fitness are the most important officer like qualities as perceived by most of the candidates because they understand only these qualities. If we go through the 15 officer like qualities, verbal expression is part of power of expression, which includes written as well as verbal and same is the case with physical stamina and mental stamina they both are part of stamina. Considering all this, both these qualities are five percent of total no. qualities.

This is the case it means all 15 officers like qualities are equally important and out of which some of them least trainable and some are highly trainable which can be improved by training yourself. Both verbal expression and physical fitness comes in the category of highly trainable. I would like to share certain inputs about these two qualities.

Verbal Expression
  1. It is a mean of communicating your ideas and thoughts.
  2. It is not a reason of rejection or selection as all qualities are equally important.
  3. When you become an officer, you would be using both English and Hindi as main language in imparting training and as an officer you would be interacting with all kinds of people including foreign national.
  4. Selection is based on demonstrated performance shown during each task and technique. In some of the tasks, you have to speak or act or write and everywhere it is expression, which helps you in demonstrating right qualities at the right place and right task. Therefore, if you are unable to express your self then how are you going to demonstrate your qualities?
  5.  Its highly trainable why not train your self. Take the example of our illiterate people when they go abroad within few months they start speaking their local language.
    GTO Task

Physical Fitness
  • Physical fitness is a coordination of mind and limbs, which helps you in performing your tasks.
  • It is highly trainable and effort of few days will make you perform effectively.
  • Tasks and obstacles are designed for untrained candidates irrespective of age and sex.
  • Physical fitness will make you confident in handling group tasks, obstacle course and snake race.
  • It is not important how many obstacles you do but what matters how you behave while doing.
  • You do not require six packs for SSB little effort prior to facing SSB is good enough to face SSB.

Suggestions
My suggestion to all aspirants is that if you feel expression is the only thing why not train your self and over come this problem. It is a matter of few days, there is a thin line between you expressing well or not. We have so many facilities available in the market to train your self. Same with physical fitness, normal jogging in the morning and exercise 15 days prior to SSB is more than sufficientto handle the GTO tasks.. Do not go with a confuse state of mind overcome your weaknesses.
