Important Tips for GD in GTO

1
Important%2BTips%2BGTO%2BGD

GD happens thrice in the whole process of SSB once during the screening process and twice during the GTO rounds. Though its a group discussion and it might look like that the process and tips that should be followed for both the GD rounds should be the same, but that’s not the case. During screening round the GD is conducted so that the aspirants can be judges for their approach towards a hazy picture where all are involved in a discussion to frame a perfect setting for the story and decide various other parameters.

While the GD in the GTO rounds help in assessing the general awareness of the aspirants for the things going around in the world and also on the practices and the evils prevailing in the society. The following tips become handy while performing in a GD:

  • In the very beginning the GTO will release the set of commands and the basic rules that needs to be followed. He would also suggest the expectations and would urge to follow all of them. Listen them carefully.
  • GTO might give the choice for the topics and would suggest two topics and would request the group to choose one. You can validate the reasons of why you want to choose any particular topics.
    GTO Group Discussion

  • If group members are agreeing one different topic it is suggested to go with group. You cannot hold your point valid if no one is with you and also it would cast a wrong impression over the GTO who plays this trick to judge the basic level of participants.
  • If you have knowledge about the selected topic you can begin or let someone else begin, don’t just start fighting or showing your eagerness in the beginning about the knowledge you have and this might come as a show off. Follow the decency of communicating in a group.
  • If anyhow you favorite topic is not selected then its preferable to try your best to gather all what you know and also to gather some relevant points from other peoples discussion. Quickly apply your understanding to such points, rephrase and present to the group. It s always better to speak something than to keep completely off.
  • Remember there is nothing as good as reading newspaper and current topics from good books, that would always provide you a edge above the else, as you can substantiate your knowledge with relevant examples.
These tips should always be practiced while taking mocks. Also these tips can be helpful for my aspirants who are presently studying and looking for jobs. Still if something bothers you about personality development or SSB preparation you can drop me a mail on [email protected] or add me on facebook and post your problem through message. Lets travel the success journey together.
