Will UPSC Postpone NDA 1 2021 Exam? [Updated]

0

Many NDA aspirants who are going to appear for the NDA 1 2021 written exam are wondering if the NDA 1 2021 exam will be conducted on 18th April 2021 or UPSC is going to postpone the NDA 1 2021 exam? Today the government has postponed the CBSE 12th and 10th board exams due to a spike in COVID-19 cases. Amid the growing chorus for the cancellation of CBSE Board Examinations due to the record spike in Covid-19 cases in India, the govt has decided to postpone the CBSE Class 12 board exams and cancel the Class 10 exams.

Many of us are wondering if the NDA 1 2021 exam will be postponed on similar grounds. There is a high chance of NDA 1 2021 getting postponed due to the serious spike in COVID cases across the country, though there is no official update by UPSC on postponing the NDA 1 2021 exam till now.

SSBCrack will keep an eye on the NDA 1 2021 exam and get all the updates related to it. We suggest NDA aspirants be ready for the NDA 1 2021 exam till any official announcement is made by the UPSC.

Cracked NDA Exam and SSB Interview For National Defence Academy AIR-337

0

Hello Everyone, This is cadet Himanshu Bhadouria and I got recommended from 2 AFSB Mysore in my first attempt for the pilot in the 145th NDA course. I have studied at Profoundly Rashtriya Military School Bangalore and I am here to share my Journey from a Dream to getting Recommended.

National Defence Academy

I am from a humble background which belongs to a small city Gwalior in Madhya Pradesh. My father is Ex-Army personnel currently serving in Defence Service Corps and has given almost 25 years to this. Being an Army brat unlike others it has given me a privilege to live in Defence Environment from an early age has brought a spark in me to join the defence forces. I was always fascinated by the discipline, uniformity, adventure, the way a soldier donned a uniform and never-ending list.

oir test and ppdt

A brief description about SSB is that how much you know about yourself, your strengths so that you can polish them, your weaknesses which can be improved.

On my 4th day after completing all task our GTO officer told all of us that psychology, interview, GTO each of them matters 33% and the rest is depend on god so if You can’t able to crack SSB one shouldn’t lose hope maybe you is good at many other things and I thanks SSBCrack for continuously uploading contents and motivating all the aspirants out there.

So, starting with my experience, I was told to report on 14 December at Mysore, Candidates reported were 220. On the first day as systematic Screening in which firstly We had to give Officer intelligence rating test thereafter, PPDT is conducted in which we have a shown a picture for 30 seconds and we have given 4 minutes to write a story always remember story should not be exaggerated, it should be logical and related to your life followed by we have to narrate our story and choose a leader as I was chosen as a leader from my group and leader work is collect all points given by group during group discussion and narrate the common story to the officer at present.

ssbinterviewbook

After screening, 59 candidates were left for further. On the second day all of us have gone through a psychology test in which the first test was Thematic Apperception Test, It entails writing 12 stories on pictures shown to you one after the other on a screen. You will get 30 sec to view the picture and 04 min to write a story on each picture.

The second test was Word Association Test. In which 60 words will be flashed before you, each for 15 sec and you are required to write the first thought that comes to your mind after reading that word and the third test was the Situation Reaction Test in which, A total of60 situations are required to be addressed in 30 minutes and in the end Self Description

It entails writing about what your friends, teachers, parents think about you, what you think about yourself and how do you see yourself in future.

I have completed all TAT, all WAT and 46 SRT and in the end self-description. Always remember time is the most important aspect here so be focused on what task is given to you.

spot_img

On the 3rd day Interview, it is just a friendly conversation with an Interviewing officer. It is totally based on the Personal Information Questionnaire form which you are allowed to fill after clearing the Screening test.

Mine interview went for 49 minutes and it was a nice experience to talk about yourself for that much time. On the 4th day GTO test, this is the one in which we show our physical and mental strengths.

It was from 8 in the morning to 3 in the afternoon starting with two Group discussion which was conducted for around 40 minutes approx. The First Group Discussion is usually on a debatable topic and the Second Group Discussion is usually of a social issue, In the second task the Group Testing Officer will brief us about a situation that will be supported by a physical map and it would have some problem and we have to think the best possible solution to those problems firstly by narrating to group thereafter writing it, remember before writing solutions you should give a brief about priorities and resources.

After that, we were told to report at GTO Ground. Initially, in the Progressive group task, my group have completed all four obstacles, thereafter Half group task was also done without much difficulty after that command task in which a candidate is chosen as a leader and allowed to choose his subordinates usually goes with two. Out of 7 members in my group, I was chosen 4 times.

Now we were allowed to give a lecturette on a topic out of 3 given topic, my lecturette was on fundamental rights. Now comes the individual obstacles in which we were given 10 obstacles and told to complete as many as obstacles in 3 minutes, my score was 9 obstacles which were once among the highest in our whole batch. GTO was ended with a final group task. A tip to the 4th day is that you should be calm, actively participating, giving ideas and listening to all the instructions given by GTO.

On the 5th and last day which is also known as a conference day, each one of us got a chance to see all the assessors there. When I was called the first question they asked me about my performance in all the task from which I have replied that I have given all my potential, rest depends on all the assessors and the second is the things I have learnt from my school and I don’t want to bore you with my answers because it was a never-ending answer they have to stop me😅.

When the result is announced and your chest no called out by an officer like mine was 48, It is the best feeling, when you are allowed to go to the stage and you heard all the claps for you. A total of eight candidates were recommended. on the 6th day, eight of us went for Computer Pilot Selection System and in the end, Three got selected for Pilot. SSB is all about how you have enjoyed all the five days, learnt, created a bond, comrade between your group and batch.

I will sign off by saying that persistence is the key to give all your efforts to the things you dreamt and don’t stop until everyone is proud of you. Thank you, everyone.

Cracked SSB Interview From 3 AFSB Gandhinagar In My 1st Attempt

Recommended-From-3-AFSB-Gandhinagar

I always knew I was going to post my SSB story on SSBCrack but never expected it to come this early. Hello ladies and gentlemen, I am Aman Rajbir Dhaka from Rohtak, Haryana and I got recommended from 3AFSB in my first attempt. I am pursuing my Bachelor of Commerce from Delhi College of Arts and Commerce, DU. I am an NCC cadet in 7DBN and this is my story to pass on some insights which might help you.

spot_img

3 AFSB, Gandhinagar – 29 April 2021

DAY 1

Reported at 6:30 am at the Gandhinagar bus stand with some friends I made during the train journey. Got Chest No. 7.

After breakfast, I performed the OIR Test, it went very well. I was sure of about 45/50 questions each in OIR 1 & 2. PPDT went well, my story was unique. I think it added an edge to me getting screened in. Narrated it, discussed the different possible stories.

EOD: I was in. Chest No 7 was announced. I was elated, called home. Got Room “Sukhoi”. Explored the premises but due to covid, things were out-of-bounds.

ssbinterviewbook

DAY 2

I had my Psych and then the interview planned on the same day. Psych went well. Did all stories, thought of the blank story then and there, completed WAT, did 46 SRTs not that it matters. The accessor doesn’t score on the basis of the quantity of SRTs but their quality. I never tried to remember SDs while practising at home, I believe in allowing the natural beauty of my expressions.

The interview was good. IO asked me many questions, tried to pressurize me, I performed up to my expectations. Also, I gulped down the entire glass of water at the end of the interview.

One should have logical answers to decisions taken in life and the “WHY” needs to be clear if not crisp. A very tiring day but more was to come.

DAY 3

GT was planned for Sukhoi. GTO was the DSO. He had a “no-bullshit and straight-to-work” personality, an amazing officer. It was intimidating for some. Somehow, during the conversation with him before CT, he arrived at Maths and I told him I never liked it after topics like Integrals and Differentiation were added to it. (I took Commerce with Economics) He asked me questions on the same, the definition of both, is the time involved in these topics and I, as expected, couldn’t answer properly. During the Command Task, he tried all tactics to pressurize me, changed colours, removed structures. Nevertheless, he wanted me to explore more and more options and I did so.

oir test and ppdt

I completed 9 Individual obstacles, was left with 30 seconds but could not climb up the rope.

Tiring day. Slept feeling accomplished.

DAY 4

Rest day, no tasks. Enjoyed it fully. Probably had Chicken for dinner.

DAY 5

Whoof! Scary day, guys! Started my day early as usual.

Went to the testing hall and then to a room, group-wise. A bell was to be followed and go to the Conference room by chest number.

I entered the conference room. It was a feeling that made my eyes shine. All the officers, in their uniform, sitting in a semicircle. It made my heart go crazy. The trip to 3 AFSB felt worthiest at that time.

But to my surprise, It went for a mere 2 minutes. I decided not to think much about it. Headed to the accommodation and took a nap. Sleep is the stress killer, people!

After lunch, all the candidates were made to sit in the Testing Hall. DSO Sir came after a wait that felt very very long. He started his speech and I could feel my heartbeat in all of my chest. He cautioned before starting the list and lo and behold, Chest No. 3 was the first to be announced. I went to the stage, another 5 candidates were announced. My happiness took a hit as soon as I saw my group and their disheartened faces. I felt bad for them but I was sure they all will work on their shortcomings and join me later.

We were escorted out of the room, I picked my bags and couldn’t wait to call home.

A motivational line I read somewhere on Instagram stuck to my mind, “Bacha log ka bag bahar, saab log ka bag andar” Though, nobody said that, those words made me feel proud of my achievement.

I called home, my mother picked up.

“Aman?”

“No, Flying Officer Aman Dhaka”

Mothers are emotional beauties, man!

END

Now the story above which you all read doesn’t really matter much, at least it didn’t matter much to me when I used to read the SSBCrack Blogs for motivation. Yes, it gives you a feel of what it must have been like but always looks for insightful things people have to say. So, here it goes with a disclaimer that I am no expert:

I believe SSB is not a test, it’s a collection of tasks and there is a difference that needs to be understood. Answers in a test only have one or maybe two answers and on the other hand, a task has unimaginable-many answers with which you need to reach the endpoint.

The explanation very fairly tells you why “coaching” seldom works. What you need to seek is guidance and not someone who will tell you that your story is wrong. No story is wrong.

And yes, I took a guidance program organised at MDU, Rohtak which was very helpful. The crucial part is that you need to be alert, not follow everything blindly and absorb selective things only.

I might not be eligible to say this but trust me, it doesn’t matter if you clear SSB or not. SSB is a process that actually makes you a better person if you diligently look for your shortcomings and improve on them. I got to know mine. I know what things I need to work on. Believe in the process and keep working on yourself.

TAT ebook part 1 ssbcrack 324x324 1

The tasks in the Psychological part at least, are set to the least extent of difficulty. You need to write a story on a picture, write sentences on words, write about yourself. My 5th class cousin can do that. The point being, it’s not hard. The issue is, candidates tend to kill their imagination by bounding and restricting themselves and hence their stories on the basis of what they heard from a) a recommended candidate or b) an “expert”.

Okay, this one is obvious. Asking a teacher or anybody for their story won’t help you in any way possible. Even if a candidate got recommended by one of those stories, it is not going to help you. You ask why? Because it won’t reflect your personality and will 100% contradict something or the other. SSB expects you to perform according to your self-set standards.

G in the GT is GROUP. A very important thing to keep in mind is that your group is not your competition. They are your resources in a task, buddies to be more precise. SSB doesn’t want you to outperform everybody else in the group, it wants you to give your own best which might help the group move forward. 3 people got recommended by our group. Why? Cause we all shared the same mindset. We had the most intellectual GDs, everyone spoke. It feels stupid to actually say this cause it’s so obvious but LISTENING is one of the utmost important parts of a GD. Understand the objective of all tasks, GD is to talk, listen to all views, make a decision as a group and come to a conclusion. That is moving forward, making a “Macchi market” is not.

Okay, last one. The Interview. Scary for some, piece of cake for others. The interviewer has different expectations from everyone.

OIR Test eBook SSBCrack

My motto while preparing for my interview was that. “The interviewer can’t ask me anything I have not asked myself ever.” It’s a basic expectation that you know about yourself. PIQ form is not to be ever undermined. A funny thing that came to my mind during the interview was that “An interviewer is a cannon which sits unarmed and you arm it with your PIQ and sit face first towards the barrel.”

A popular FAQ is the stats. 214 reported. 55 screened in. 6 recommended. 4 freshers. These stats never mattered to me, to be honest. I might or might not make it to the academy this time but I’ll never stop trying and keep this experience always fresh.

spot_img

I am grateful to my brother for sharing his experiences and keeping me in the loop of the process since the beginning and never did he tell me that my story was wrong which is very important.

I had a wonderful experience at 3 AFSB. Made lots of friends and not just from my group. My brother gave 10+ SSBs and now I understand why. Nasha hai ye yaaro. I can’t wait to go to my upcoming SSBs.

So, Ladies and Gentlemen, It’s an unreal feeling on this side of the river. I’ll be waiting to read your stories. Good Luck and Kill it in your SSBs.

Cracked SSB Interview From Allahabad In My 4th Attempt

0

Hello everyone, I VIKAS TEOTIA from Bulandshahar, Uttar Pradesh got recommended for the National Defence Academy NDA 145 course from 34 SSB Allahabad in my 4th and last attempt and will be joining the prestigious Academy next week. The journey till recommendation had really been interesting and full of learning. I was never screened out but got conferenced out in my earlier 3 attempts. My father is a JCO in Indian Army and was an instructor at NDA and I was lucky to see and live in the academy for three years and from there I made my mind to be a part of it.

oir test and ppdt

I dreamt of wearing the olive green uniform with shining stars on it.
SSB is all about improving yourself in future attempts. I realised that this is the last chance of being in the academy and introspected my mistakes and started working on myself. I started yoga, running, reading books, newspapers in the lockdown and became a better version of myself. I improved my psychology from SSBCrack books and website and practised upon it. I would like to thank SSBCrack for motivating all the aspirants during the Journey. I used to read the success stories and dreamt of writing mine one day.

Coming to my SSB, It was on 12th December 2020 SCE Allahabad. 60 Candidates reported on the first day. I was quite confident of my screening and 27 including me were screened in. On Day 2 we had a Psychology test. I did 12 TAT, 60 WAT and 48 SRT, I had prepared my SD well in advance so overall my Psych test went well.

spot_img

My interview was scheduled for the same day, I was asked about my family, education, friends, a question from gk and current affairs, military deals with foreign countries, questions from my previous attempts and it went well. After the PI the officer said you are a deserving candidate, all the best for your next Tasks. This increased my confidence to another level.

Day 3 (GTO-1) We had 2 rounds of GD’s, I put my valuable points, listened well to others, gave chance to everyone and I was nominated by the group to narrate the solution in the GPE and it went well. Overall I was confident of my performance.

ssbinterviewbook

Day 4 (GTO-2) I did 9 obstacles. In the command task, GTO  gave me the task that there is your joining letter of NDA in the box inside and you have to get it out. He exerted little pressure on me he said me to try and other methods and told me to count reverse from 10 regularly while doing the task.
Now finally the Conference day comes. All of us got ready. One by one candidate was called. I was asked only basic questions regarding stay and suggestion.

We waited eagerly for the result. At last, an officer came with the result and said that 6 candidates have made it.

He started announcing chest numbers and then he said CHEST NUMBER 23. I was filled with joy. I waited 2 years for this moment and finally, I made it.
I called my father and said Papaji Ho Gaya my father replied Thank you Beta and this was the best moment for me.

A winner is just a loser who tried one more time. Work for your dreams with full dedication and you will achieve them one day. JAI HIND.

20 Inspirational Pictures Of Women Military Police

0

Let us take a look at the group of 100 young Indian women who are set to be inducted into the Indian Army in May as the country’s first Women Military Police.

ssbinterviewbook
  • The first batch of women Military Police recruits trained at Corps of Military Police Centre and School, Bangalore.
  • The women recruits are given training comprising Basic Military Training and Advanced Provost Training in Bengaluru.
  • Between 19 and 22 years of age, this batch comprises the top 100 selectees out of two lakh applicants across the country, explained Lt-Colonel Julee, who is in charge of the training of the cadets.
  • According to information from the Army, 21 are graduates with college degrees and 51 have experience in the military system, having been members of the National Cadet Corps (NCC).
  • Their presence has shaken up and challenged the largely male-dominated Army establishment. The precedent they have set creates opportunities for employment for women from agrarian backgrounds and lower economic strata.
  • That these women did not come from well-to-backgrounds was apparent that many in the batch were anemic when they joined, said Major Richa Chakravorty, the medical officer in charge of the training unit.
  • The sense of giving back to the community was a common theme among the young women recruits.
  • According to the Army, only three of 100 had previous experience in driving four-wheeled vehicles before joining the Army, while 41 had previously ridden motorcycles.

  • Their hair trimmed short, many of the young women were almost indistinguishable from their male counterparts, barring some difference in height.
  • Cadets have to be a minimum of 152 cm in height and during selection, have to fulfill a series of physical demands, like running for 1.6 kilometers.
  • The Army stresses that physical training requirements have only been slightly nudged down for women and that the training regimen between the two sexes is the same.
  • The salary of Sepoys is about Rs 30,000, out of which Rs 22,000 is the basic pay.
