Cracked SSB Interview On My Birthday For National Defence Academy NDA-146 Course

0

“OH! You think you’re tailor-made for the Army, boy?” These were the laughing words of my GTO that made me lose all my confidence. My name is Syed Ayaan Ahmad and I’m a 12th appearing candidate studying in Delhi Public School Noida. I was recommended from 34SSB Allahabad on 19th February 2021(my birthday) for the NDA 146 Course. Being an Army brat, giving the NDA exam is a given. Everyone attempts it. How many get through, that’s a different story altogether.

spot_img

I started my NDA written preparation at the start of the 12th. The only book that I used was the big fat NDA Pathfinder. I did previous year papers, made a systematic exam schedule and got daily lectures from my father on how less I study. That really helped though. Finally, I scored a decent 523 marks in my NDA written exam. Go to the last paragraph for my tips on how to attempt the NDA written exam.

When I got my SSB call letter, the first word I saw was Allahabad. All the rumours of it being the rejection centre and the anxiety started to settle in. But no! I told myself I’m going to give it my best shot. I prepared well. I took the guidance of an ex-GTO and an ex-IO. I was fairly confident when I went in those gates for the next five days.

Day 1 was the screening test. We had to be at the gate before 0630 Hrs. The documentation was the most boring part. The OIR Test was fairly easy. In PP&DT I had to be very quick in writing the story. The discussion part was difficult as I had never practiced speaking in a group like this before. I had to be very careful on how much and what exactly I spoke. As we were the fresher batch, we finished our screening first and we went to have lunch. After lunch the results were announced and I would be spending the next five days with 34 other candidates.

Day 2 was the Psychological Test and the Interview. The only problem I had in the psych test was that it was very long and mentally exhausting. I attempted 12 TATs, 60 WATs and 45 SRTs. Our NCO informed us that a select few of us will be having our interview that day, mine being at 1300 Hrs. When I got there, apparently the interview was delayed and I had to wait for 1.5 hrs. I was hungry and exhausted when I went into that room. Nevertheless, being a decent orator helped me a lot. Surprisingly, the Interviewing Officer didn’t ask anything about current affairs and only from my PIQ form. My interview lasted about 45 mins and I hurried back to the mess hall to eat my lunch.

Day 3 & 4 were my GTO tasks. The one big concern I had was that I had injured my arm the previous day playing basketball for which I received a long lecture from the Medical staff. But in the end, it didn’t affect my performance as I did well in both physical and mental tasks. I did all 10 individual obstacles. The highlight was of the GTO task when my GTO took particular interest in me. On Day 4, he gave the most difficult Command Task with the weirdest obstacles with the most awkward materials. He put me under a lot of pressure to see how well I handled it. I cleared the first obstacle but the time ran out in the second one. I thought this was the end of my journey.

oir test and ppdt

Day 5 was our conference and my birthday. I was prepared for the worst. When they called me in, I could feel the pressure of 15 pairs of eyes judging me, seeing my every step. The president asked me questions that I truthfully answered. My conference lasted for 20 mins. After waiting apprehensively for the result, when I heard, “CHEST NUMBER 15!” I stood up and gave my name and DOB. A total of 11 candidates were recommended. It was the best birthday gift of my life.

I was declared medically unfit for being overweight. I subsequently lost 11kgs in the next 22 days.

For all those who read till here, I say thank you.

Now I will tell you how to score 500+ in the written exam.

OIR Test eBook SSBCrack

For the NDA written, the most important part of the exam is Mathematics. If you clear mathematics and even get a decent score in your GAT, you’re safe. Make a daily schedule, do maths EVERYDAY. Make notes for your GAT. It’s not important to do all chapters because I didn’t. But doing every PYQ is a MUST.

For SSB, I feel the most important thing is to take guidance and have a very positive attitude. And last of all don’t ever take tension. Be it for your written exam or your SSB, tension is the thing that will destroy months of preparation.

Lost 40 Kgs To Join The Indian Army, Recommended For National Defence Academy NDA 146 Course

“Starve yourself to an extent that if success comes to your plate it must not break free”

I took that line away too seriously and got myself recommended in the very first go. Ladies and gentlemen my name is Chetan Vats, a simple boy of the motherland, recommended from 1 AFSB Dehradun on 26th February 2021 to join NDA 146 course.

ssbinterviewbook

My love for the nation started back in June 2020 when I filled the form for UPSC NDA (ll) 2020 exam, like every other love story there was a major obstacle in mine too i.e. I was a fat chap weighing over 95 kgs. Apparently, to join the academy I had to grind 40 kgs of body weight along with written and SSB.

In the month of September, I appeared for the written exam which consists of two parts MATHS(I) and GAT(II). Aspirants, I’ll suggest everyone practice PYQs which’ll familiarise you with the pattern exam holds.

The results were out, as expected 0861335, there it was in the written results list.

By now bodyweight 78kgs and still deflating.

“You will become, what you think”, I always imagined those blue stripes (later stars) on my shoulders which kept me moving. By end of December 66kgs and still deflating.

Here it is the D-day, 22nd February 2021, 1AFSB Dehradun 0600hrs, around 200 motivated chaps with a dream to fly high reported there.

We were served the breakfast and hence screening started, we were given 2 sets of OIR, 50 questions each and soon after we’re taken to a large hall where we were shown a picture and every single chap jotted down the best they can, followed by narration and a healthy discuss thereafter, the screening was done.

And here I was screened in along with 59 others, alloted chest no. 37, which will be clinging to me for next 5 days.

I was fortunate enough to have my psychology test as well as interview on the very first day of testing.

Psychology:

Psychology test consists of four batteries i.e. TAT, WAT, SRT and SD on the basis of which psychologist marks you.

Aspirants, I’ll suggest to practice psychology as much as you could so that you’ll end up giving beautiful and workable ideas to the psychologist. I used to practice it from SSBCrack books and they regularly uploaded the videos on their YouTube for motivation.

oir test and ppdt

Interview:

My interview was scheduled in the afternoon just after the psychology test, it was a healthy discussion between me  and a senior officer, who asked me several questions about my FAMILY, FRIENDS, TEACHERS, SPORTS, HOBBIES/INTERESTS and SELF, he also asked a few questions about current happening of my own choice. My interview lasted around an hour and I was motivated by the interviewer to do best in GT. Aspirants, I’ll suggest you to be honest with the officer

For next two days I was completely free and spend the time with some newly made friends, from them some will be my coursemates soon.

Ground Tasks:

In this we were tested how logically we can give answers to the simple hurdles made to find out natural leaders on the ground, our GT officer was a man of humour and always motivated us. There were tasks like Group discussion, Group planning exercise, Progressive group task, Half group task, Lecturette, Command task, Individual obstacle, and Final group task to test the candidates.

Aspirants, I’ll suggest keep giving workable ideas and always corporate with your teammates.

Here it came 26th February, the conference day. I saw a weird fear in each aspirant’s eye, constant prayers and discussions regarding their performance can be heard from each corner of the waiting area.

Soon I was called in, a huge panel of the officers was sitting there, conference lasts around 40-50 seconds and I was sent out for the result,

I was waiting when an officer came holding a small piece of paper on which the names of some fortunate ones was inscribed.

He started announcing the chest numbers and moment came when he called,” chest no.37″ we were instructed to call our names and DOBs upon recommendation, with my chest puffed out two inches, I did so with excitement,

TAT ebook part 1 ssbcrack 324x324 1

Met my teammates and hugged them for being there with me all these days.

Soon our documentation was done and we were allotted medical boards, due to some medical condition I couldn’t join airforce and was allotted MH Bhopal for medical testing.

On 10th march, I reported there, by time weight was 62kgs and still deflating.

Given TR for 5 kg overweight, soon cleared it in just two weeks.

Thanked my mother for her blessings and prayers, there it was in the medical register, “CHETAN VATS CHEST NO. 37 D-NDA/499 FIT FOR ARMY”

What a romance it was to shed some skin and soul, just to scream it out loud,” YES I HAVE IT IN ME”

Failed NDA Twice, JEE Twice, CDS Thrice, AFCAT Thrice, INET Once, Campus Placements Rejected But Finally Cracked SSB Interview To Join The Army

So gentlemen, we have recommended one candidate…

Chest no. 14…(I didn’t respond, I was numb)

Who is chest no. 14?”

I stood up, walked towards him, told him my name & DOB, that’s it!

That was the moment, the moment I have been dreaming and waiting for a long long time.

I was all emotional, my life just flashed in front of my eyes after getting my first success of life and tears were rolling down continuously because I was able to recall all the stages where I failed.

Let’s have a look at that! (The reason why I want to tell my story)

oir test and ppdt

Class 10th 10 pointer

Class 12th 75%

Backlog in college graduated with 67%

Failed NDA twice, JEE twice, CDS Thrice, AFCAT thrice, INET once,  Campus Placements (rejected by all the companies, even mass recruiters) so no job backup.

Also no army background at all, neither Sainik school nor NCC.

Also no sports background.

And yet I was dreaming to become an officer in the Indian Army, yes I always had that question at the back of my mind,

‘How will I do it?’

With a thought that ‘Here I’m unable to clear such initial platforms and aiming for the SSBs’

Definitely, my confidence was smashed, lying beneath the ground.

Well I just did one simple yet very effective thing

“I REFUSED TO GIVE UP!”

And kept working.

Hello friends

Myself, Chitransh Kaithwas from Bhopal, and I got recommended for SSC TECH-56 from 17 SSB Banglore (8th Feb-12th Feb) in my 2nd attempt.

(1st attempt INET entry, 33 SSB Bhopal, Conference out).

I started my SSB journey with ssbcrack.com reading success stories from my 2nd year and later ordered SSBCrack’s book (LET’S CRACK SSB INTERVIEW), which opened my mind regarding the SSB.

Also from my 1st attempt, I learnt a lot of things and understood the requirements at SSB.

So 177 candidates reported, 20 screened-in, 1 recommended.

This time during PPDT I made a simple positive story on group discussion regarding Final Year College project, which I also wrote in my blank story, which is also my own story too (and I was asked regarding this in conference).

Narration is very important.

For GD, listen to everyone carefully while narration, put out common points, this how the group will accept your point.

OIR Test was easy.

PSYCHOLOGY

12/12 TATs, again simple and positive (without accidents, NGOs, becoming collector, gallantry medals 😅)

60/60 WATs

60/60 SRTs (I reached 57, but I read the last 3 SRTs before passing the booklet and completed it while writing Self Description 😅)

Self-description simple and honest.

Tip: If you have a positive approach towards life, you’ll do good in psych too, understand what psychology an officer (a good leader, problem solver) should have and go accordingly.

ssbinterviewbook

INTERVIEW

The same day after psych, went for 45 mins (7:15 pm to 8:00 pm)

Answered genuinely what I knew.

Questions- Meaning of my name, academics, roles and responsibilities, directions, co-curricular, current affairs, technical knowledge, army knowledge.

My attitude was not to impress the interviewer but to have a healthy interaction.

(FUN THING:

As per my PIQ, I mentioned film making, so IO searched my work on youtube and watched it by fast-forwarding so if you lie you die.)

TIP: Be what you are, be honest, fill the PIQ form to provide information, not to impress.

GTO

Cooperated, did not dominate anyone, gave the ideas only when I was coming with one.

We had very calm and healthy GDs, GPE, because our group had a very good connection, we let everyone speak.

Individual obstacle 8/10.

TIPS: See the obstacle(PGT, HGT, FGT, CT) from the endpoint, the solution will come faster.

Be simple, genuine, don’t show off, it’s all matter of teamwork, have an attitude of getting your whole group recommended not just your individual recommendation and most importantly enjoy all the tasks.

oir test and ppdt

CONFERENCE

(Goosebumps day, because there are so many uniforms with medals and senior ranks🔥)

It went for 25 minutes!!!

First question, what is the reason behind your wide smile?

I said, sir because I always choose to stay cheerful.

And second question, OKAY THEN TELL US A JOKE

And I came up with such a lame joke, that my pride in having excellent humour washed away😅

Awkward silence.

Only two of the GTO officers gave me a pity laugh like BECHARA.

Other questions were on College projects, film making, role in the army, family background, directions, favourite life moment, single SRT with multiple modifications, time speed calculation, any suggestion.

I was asked for the suggestion(s), I said no, he said it’s mandatory, then I said, if we could use our mobile phones at the cafeteria. He asked why, I said, Bhaiya charges 1Rs. Per-minute for call and this is too much. Here I saw them laughing.

I was completely blown after the conference because I have heard that the conference goes for like 1-2 minutes, hardly 5 min, some say the borderline case, well who cares until you are getting recommendation, so better experience yourself whatever it is.

All I’ll say is take SSB as a subset of life, it expects just an average being with a logical and positive approach towards life.

ssbinterviewbook

And it seems impossible until it’s done.

And when you decide it in your subconscious mind, that thing will definitely fall in place.

And When it’s truly your dream, it can be seen through your sparkling eyes, so be honest with what you do.

My whole attitude during SSB and life was/is to do the कर्म without expecting any फल.

Special thanks to my parents.

And my close friends have been the constant support, they never stopped believing in me.

That is why I’ll say, at this or any point of life, friends are the most required elements of life.

Also, I took guidance from repeaters, officers, ex-officers, youtube channels.

“NO MATTER HOW MUCH IT HURTS, HOW DARK IT GETS, HOW HARD YOU FALL

YOU ARE NEVER OUT OF THE FIGHT”

My Journey of Cracking NDA SSB Interview for NDA 146 Course

recommended-for-NDA-SSB

“Those who couldn’t make it in this attempt they can introspect themselves come next time”. These lines were terrifying. Now I will call the Chest No of the recommended candidates they will stand up call of the name and UPSC roll number. Chest no 24, 14 , 5, 18, 13, 2. Chest Number 5 that’s what my ear eagerly wanted to listen and I listened to it. It was the day I make it I got my first Recommendation from 18 SSB Allahabad on 22nd February 2021 for NDA 146th Course.

oir test and ppdt

Hello Everyone, my name is Javed Akhtar and I am a 12th appearing candidate I am studying at APS Meerut. The journey started from class 11th when I and my friend Aakash Sangwaan started preparing for NDA. The craze grew up in our friend circle also. Belonging from an Army background and always seen lifestyle I was very much fascinated by Olive Green. It was the first hard time because of COVID 19 I couldn’t take offline coaching but I prepared with my friend I prepared well cleared my written in my very first attempt of NDA 2 2020 (NDA 146th Course). “Irrade Mazbut ho to Sab Kuch possible hain”.After the declaration of the written result started the preparation of SSB. Many officers also help me and show me the correct path. Extreme thanks to them also. Finally, I got my Selection Center and it was Allahabad. Since I was a fresher I was having many myths like “rejection centre milgya, screen ratio kam hain, etc”. But I prepared my preparation well. I and Akash used to prepare we used to have GPE, Interaction in English and I also join many telegram groups where I used to participate in PPDT discussions to boost up my confidence. I focus a lot on TAT and WAT made a separate copy for that and used to write 4 TAT and 30 WAT every day. Till the time I went for SSB, many ideas were already there in my mind. I started practising for the OIR from SSBCrack Book (OIR AND PPDT) and I find that it was really worthy and helpful for me. Literally, the same questions were there in my OIR Set. I also did preparation for my Lecturette I used to choose a topic that has come in the lecturette of candidates I picked it up from the previously recommended candidates who share their experience in SSBCrack and used to speak for 3 minutes in front of the mirror. After that, I also used to record my voice and listen to it later and do amendments.

Finally, the stage was set and my SSB was scheduled between 18th to 22nd Feb 2021. I landed up with my friend at Allahabad on 17th Feb. At that point in time my mind very much relaxed because of a lot of preparation I have done And my heart was saying one word of my Sir Comd Rakesh Pandey:-“Think Positive, Talk Positive, Perform Positive.

I reported to Cariappa Dwar at 0530hrs. It was chilly weather. I went there and met some of my friends. Then we were taken to Reporting Shed and then to Vikram Batra Hall.

ssbinterviewbook

Day 1:-OIR:- Our OIR Test started and for the 1st we get 32 minutes. For the 2nd we got 30 minutes. I was able to complete all and the total questions were 100(50 in each). I was confident and was happy. OIR by SSBcrack helped me. PPDT:- Then we were shown a picture it was three persons were sitting on a circular table in which two were male one female and the female was looking sad. I must say that the picture was not hazy and it was crystal clear. It could be my luck also that I have prepared the same picture before. I completed my story in just 2 minutes.GD:- We were then divided into groups. In my group, there were 10 members. I remember one of my saying from My senior Tarun Saini that in the action part just speak what is going in the picture and I followed the same. I narrated my story in one minute I was very much confident and looking at every group member while narrating. But still, I was interrupted in between and the officer said “OK Next”. After that, I participated in the discussion well when and we come to a common conclusion that it was something of motivating the Girl in the picture. No common group story was narrated.

After that, I went to the Shed and I was confident that I will be able to get screened in and my group members also very confident about me. After the result I was screened in I called my parents and then the phone was switched off and taken away.

spot_img

Day 2:-We were required to report at 0900hrs at Manoj Pandey Hall. TAT:- Pictures were shown to us there were a total of 11 pictures and one blank picture I have already prepared the blank picture and hold all the 12 pictures well on time.WAT:- I did all WATs and I think the most important is that managing the time. So my advice is always to prepare well for WATs. SRT:- I completed 52 SRTs out of 60. SD:- I have prepared it already so I just wrote it in the given time frame. And all of this Day 2 concluded.
Day 2 (Interview):-So after the hectic process of Psychology I went for the Interview. There we all waiting in a room and it was a really fun and talking experience with each other that bonded us. Onboard chess number 5 digit came.INTERVIEW:-I think my interview went for the last 30 minutes. In the interview, I was asked questions regarding my Friends, Family and Army. Sir also ask me about General Awareness in which he asks me about FATF, farmers protest, tensions with China and other. Then Sir asked me about Mathematic questions speed and distance and scientific questions like what is Atmospheric refraction and the Twinkling of stars. I was the whole interview was honest and which I don’t know I simply said: “Sorry Sir I don’t know”. My interview gets over at around 1530hrs.

Day 3:- Now it was the time for the GTO tasks. When I first show my GTO Sir He was similar to one of my officer from my fathers unit. So somewhere I was very much relax. GD:-1st Topic:-Why China is ahead of India? a) Good Governance) The attitude of People) Technology Advancement we started our discussion and I spoke at a constant interval on all three points and also gave chances to speak to others and listen to them also well.2nd Topic:-Why youths start getting Unhealthy and obese? a) Due to mobile phones) Education pressure) Future ThoughtsAgain I did follow up the same and speak constantly on a regular interval. PGT/HGT/FGT:- It started we were taken to ground and when the GTO Sir says “OK Start” I picked up the rope and I was started giving ideas. The ideas were coming into my mind like a bullet. I gave up my ideas but never imposed on them and also listen to them. Like this, we were able to complete all the PGT. GROUP RACE:- It started I make sure that we followed all the rules and healthy members wherever needed. I also started shouting the War Cry many times “Bharat Mata ki Jai” to boost up everyone’s confidence and Josh in our group. But we didn’t win the race and were last. LECTURETTE:-My Topics were SAARC, Indo Pak Relationships, Dowry and I took the topic Dowry and spoke up for 3 minutes it was a topic well known and I could give many points out of it.

Day 4:-Again we report 0900hrs at GTO ground.INDIVIDUAL OBSTACLES:-We were briefed and shown All The 10 obstacles. I saw them and make out my way how I will do them in which sequence. I completed 9 in 3 minutes. COMMAND TASK:-I was then called for a command task the GTO Sir interacted with me for few minutes and ask me some questions regarding where I am coming from, about family, me, and how do I think about my performance. After that, I called my subordinates and my command task started. It was a tough one. But in the doing of task Phtta Broke and GTO Sir told “Gentlemen you break my Phatta” I said sorry but there was no reply. I got another one in continued but I got stuck and then sir help me to get out. Finally before reaching to finish line sir ask me “Gentleman how much distance do you think it is” I Said “Sir I think it’s less than 4 feet” then he told “How you are so sure about that” I replied “Sir I learnt in NCC” He told “You have learnt wrong you must go back and learn it again” after that he told “Ok Go”My command task went a long. “Aur Dil hain ki maanta nhi Myths se laga ki Bas Ban gyi Baat”.

I returned to the candidate’s line and all things done. Now I was just relaxing and playing volleyball and basketball.

Day 5:- CONFERENCE:-We were told to pack up all our material everything and report to the shed with them. We were also given phones in the morning and everyone switched it on and talk to their family members but I didn’t. I just wanted to do it after the conference result either I will give them “Good News” or that “my joining has been delayed for 6 months more”. Most of you will understand it. Then we were taken to Chanakya Hall and then we were briefed about the conference and it started.I went inside there were officers sitting around the table. I was looking at them and their stars and they were glittering in my eyes. After that he ask me that what you are thinking outside. I answered I was thinking about the results. then he asked me about my experience and what will I do if I didn’t make it. Then asked for any suggestions. I said “No sir”. After that he told OK you can go.I went outside waited for the result it and finally I made it. My friend who is come with me to Allahabad he also made it.

ssbinterviewbook

We both were happy and it then went for the documentation for the Medicals. On 3rd March 2021 I was declared medically unfit in DNS. But in My Appeal after operation on 1st April 2021 I was declared “FIT FOR ARMY”.

The journey was long with many ups and downs but testing the victory is worth it. Finally, I would like to thank SSBCrack for this platform to share my experience with all of you. May God bless you all with your Victories and Triumph.

Cracked SSB Interview For National Defence Academy NDA 146 Course

“Gentlemen, the results are not very encouraging, only two of you have made it ” wasn’t the statement that 25 guys who had put in their best efforts throughout the course of the 5-day testing procedure were happy to hear. Yet, with our fingers crossed, we waited for the assessor to say the two chest numbers, which would change two lives forever. I am Dhruv Singh and I got recommended for NDA 146 (ARMY) from 22 SSB, Bhopal on the 24th of February 2021. It was my first attempt and I am ecstatic that it proved to be a fruitful one. I come from an Army background and I say this with conviction, whoever I am today is courtesy to the environment that I got and the values that this organisation instilled in me.

oir test and ppdt

The Army has nurtured me and it is my deepest desire to give back to this institution everything that is in my capacity and even more. Talking about my SSB, we had our reporting on the 20th of February at 5:30 am. I still remember, there was a long queue outside the Cantonment, a long queue of young boys who had the same fire in them and the same dream of joining the most premier organisation in the country. We were 65 on the day of reporting, and after the Day 1 screening procedure, which consisted of two OIR tests and a Picture Perception and Discussion Test, we were filtered down to 25. As for the OIR tests, I had practised some practice sets available on the SSBCRACK website and found that the type of questions was almost the same, which helped me complete the test within the stipulated time. I wrote a decent story in the PP&DT and was able to effectively contribute to the group discussion that followed. The next day we had our psych tests in which I attempted 12 TATs, 60 WATs and 53 SRTs, and wrote a good self-description and tried to keep it as true as possible.

spot_img

I was the lucky guy who was told at 10:50 am that my interview was scheduled at 11:00 am. Nonetheless, I did pretty well and was very happy with the way my interview materialised. The evenings at the ssb centre were amazing as we played basketball (I am terrible at it, but it was fun) and had conversations and pranks that lasted till late at night. I was fortunate to have a civilised and cooperative group in GTO and found myself in complete control throughout the 9 tasks.

ssbinterviewbook

I gave good and frequent points in both the GDs and was fortunate enough to even give the group plan in the GPE. Since the group was progressive, we did well in PGT, HGT and FGT as well. I managed to do all the 10 obstacles and thanks to my group, we even won the Group Obstacle Race. Being a good orator, I found myself at ease during the lecturette and delivered an effective one. In my command task, I did receive some suggestions from our GTO but was eventually able to complete it successfully. The day of the conference arrived and the rest is history. One of the many takeaways from my experience was that it is necessary to enjoy the testing procedure as it ensures that a person’s true personality reflects in his thoughts and actions. Finally, I can answer the most important question. YES, I HAVE IT IN ME!

Cracked SSB Interview To Join the OTA Chennai

Handsome is he who handsome does. Indian Army has given me the opportunity to become a Handsome person in my life. Hi,  My name is Pronoy Das (B.Tech in Electrical Engineering). I recently got recommended for SSC(Tech)-56 entry for Army. I would like to share my success story with you guys because I want to shatter the myth that only ‘talented’ people get in. The journey started 2 years back, in the year 2019, when I got to know that there’s an entry called SSC(Tech) through which an engineering graduate can join armed forces as an officer. In my first three attempts, I took a lot of pressure and went for my respective SSBs. At those times I was confident enough but my desperation to join armed forces didn’t allow me to get through. So one thing I would like to suggest to everyone that Be Eager to achieve it, don’t be desperate for that.

ssbinterviewbook

Believe me, friends, If you have qualities then SSB will definitely select you. And you can easily develop your qualities by helping others in real life or by doing some good works. Don’t follow your regular life schedule friends, always do some work which will make you different from others.

In this way you can develop your qualities. Talking about my SSB, amongst 179 candidates 24 got screened in and 3 got recommended. On the screen in test the picture was on social gathering and my story was also on following the rules and regulations of Covid-19. You have to keep in mind that for direct entries you have to make good stories and as well as your narration should be perfect.

In the PSYCHOLOGY test I wrote 12/12 stories; 60/60 WATs and 60/60 SRTs.

For the psychology test, I only downloaded the TAT, WAT and SRT sheets from SSBCRACK.COM and practised those to improve my HANDWRITING SPEED only.

spot_img

I have seen most of my friends practised those psychology papers to improve their stories, WATs and responses in SRT. But you have to understand that psychology is a constant thing and varies from person to person. So don’t copy it from others. Always give your original response which will match with your answers in PI and as well as with your performance in GTO.

For the GTO, rather than giving my own points, I gave the first priority to the group. I understood that to become a good Speaker I have to be a good Listener. For this, I carefully listened to others points and appreciated them for their participation also. In-ground tasks I kept myself calm and helped my group when the faced difficulties.

Because of the Pandemic Situation I wasn’t able to complete the individual obstacles. I only completed 8 obstacles out of 10.  But I was good in Command Task and Final Group Task.

oir test and ppdt

My Personal Interview was conducted on DAY-4. In the interview you have to focus on 3 things (1) About yourself ; (2) Your General Knowledge  ; (3) Your Technical Knowledge. ( for tech entries)

Everyone knows about their own life so I haven’t faced any difficulties over there.. Even my general knowledge was little good. But my best part was my Technical Knowledge.

One thing you have to show them on which no one can stand beside you. That means you have to tell them why you are worthy for armed forces.

As I was good in all three parts my interview also went good.

On the day-5 my conference went approx. 30 seconds and the Interviewing officer asked  me that if there will be only one vacancy and amongst 24 whom do you like to select.

Now at that point after giving a perfect performance everyone should definitely nominate their own name. But I didn’t. I nominated the name of the person who’s chest number was next to me.

Although we both performed really well and we both deserved that one vacancy. But I nominated him because  that was his 11 th attempt and mine was 4 th. We both were same and eligible for that post but his dedication beat me somewhere somehow, that I felt. Then after an hour the result announced and we both got recommended. When I asked him about his conference then I shocked, because the interviewing officer asked him the same question and he nominated my name rather than taking his own name.

Army wants Sacrifice. Army wants best. That I learnt on that day.

When I started the journey I was nothing. Zero English, Zero Knowledge, technically poor. But I had three important qualities, those are Dedication, Hardwork and Never Give Up attitude.

If you will think to achieve then no one can stop you.

Its not depend upon your condition or family background or environment,  It totally depends upon you for which after 1 year I will become the first Army officer in my Village.

The tough get going”.

My Journey To Become Assistant Commandant In Indian Coast Guard In My 5th Attempt

Hi I am Siddharth Bhati and this is going to be a long story, and I am writing this especially for my fellow repeaters. It all started in 2014, I was in 12th, preparing for my JEE suffering from Kidney stones and failing almost all entrance exams that too very badly, decided to take a drop and the results didn’t improve much, twisted my ankle badly but had SSB the very next week. So on my birthday 4th September 2015, TES 34, 18 SSB Allahabad, after getting screened in, I became very overconfident and as a result, got conferenced out.

ssbinterviewbook

Then in October 2015 went to Bhopal for 10+2 Navy and the result was SO. Taking direct entries for granted, I was hoping for a miracle failing the NDA written parallel, I again went for TES 35 in Bhopal and got screened out. Then I decided that I would focus on the left-over entrance exams of engineering as I already had screwed my JEE and BITSAT  again. Somehow managed to clear the cut-off and took admission to Manipal Institute of Technology, Karnataka in Civil Engineering. Joined NCC over there, the drift from north to south had made me positive, the fire of dawning the uniform was burning again. Started getting decent grades in College, started long-distance running.

But it seemed as if God had a different kind of Grudge against me, in a football match that injured my back, which led to a minor slip disc. And those negative thoughts started coming again. But the environment that I was in, of great seniors getting recommended continuously, all my juniors bringing laurels to our NCC unit, it was very hard to remain negative. Then in my 7th semester, I cleared the first written exam for defence forces. “INET”! I once again went to Bhopal with a different mindset, it was the last batch as I had my End seems during the regular one. And unfortunately, I was not even able to appear for screening because I did not have some document. In Feb 2020, I completed my First Full Marathon which changed my perspective towards life. Appeared for AFCAT failed! Appeared for CDSE twice FAILED! All this going through, and the onset of Pandemic meant I could not report for several SSB’s either due to quarantine procedure of that state or because I had covid like symptoms. It was November 2020, and this was my last attempt for CDSE(IMA)! And I cleared all the cut-off’s that I had applied for INA, IMA and OTA, that too easily (Waiting for my SSB for the same). Then came November 28th, 2020 and my SSB after almost 4.5 years for TGC 132 course.

I had no expectations this time and just went to enjoy myself, it was 20 SSB Bhopal, got screened in and enjoyed the process, in the conference was being made to wait for about 15-20 minutes, and the same went for about 10 minutes, I knew I was borderline, but unfortunately didn’t make it. But there were so many positives. January 28th, appeared for Pre-Selection board for Assistant Commandant in Indian Coast Guard in Noida, 130 reported 18 got in, I was lucky to cross the line. In FEB gave Afcat and cleared it, Gave CAPF in December 2020 but missed it by 4-5 marks. Then finally on 14th March reported for the Final-Selection Board in Noida, 52 were there. Psych Test was okay, so was The GTO then came the interview and it went for about 1 hour 30 minutes, he pressurized me a lot for not succeeding in life as I was already 23, gave me many SRT’s, asked me some adult questions as well, grilled me on my hobbies and interests ! the stress was such that I had almost tears in my eyes and smile on face. After the interview, I thought that I had no chance of making It. Finally, the conference day came, 19th March 2021! I think I was the only one who was 100% sure of not getting recommended.

I was Chest Number 22, as 21 went the wait began, 5…10…15 minutes, I was nervous, the bell rang and went in! It was great to see all officers in white uniform, but they all seemed serious. The IO began asking me

How Would you rate all your tests?

What went wrong in your Interview?

Since u r a civil engineer redesign this selection centre

How is this building different from the rest in Delhi-NCR

What modifications would you like to make so the coming candidates remain motivated?

TAT ebook part 1 ssbcrack 324x324 1

I answered all and went out with a smiling face! After a couple of hours of wait, the Psychologist came dressed in white uniform, motivated us, told us what they are looking for and all those formalities. Then he announced first chest number 21, and then he said “Twenty……Two” and I was numb did know how to react but then after few minutes hugged my group mates and cried like babies.

My medicals are still on , I don’t know if I will clear them or not , but I wanted all of you to know that nothing comes easy , just keep trying and trying and trying !
