UPSC CDS Officer other Allowances
- Highly Active Field Area Allowance: Rs 6,780/- to Rs 8,400/- p.m
- Compensatory Modified Field Area Allowance: Rs 1,600/- to Rs 2,000/- p.m
- Compensatory Field Area Allowance: Rs 4,200/- to Rs 5,200/- p.m
- Transport allowance: Rs. 3,200/- + DA thereon pm in A-1/A class cities and Rs. 1,600/- + DA thereon pm at other places shall be admissible to officers
- High Altitude Allowance: Rs 1,060 p.m. to Rs 11,200 pm
- Dearness Allowances(DA): Admissible at the same rates and under the same conditions as are applicable to the Civilian Gazetted Officers from time to time
- Kit Maintenance Allowance: Rs 400/- per month
- Siachen Allowance: Rs 14,000/- per month
- Uniform Allowance: Initially for one time kit at Rs 14,000/-
In the cds exam, female candidates can only apply for the Officers Training Academy (OTA) exam. The other three the IMA-Indian Military Academy, AFA-Air force Academy and the NA-Naval Academy, are only male candidates. Candidates will be eligible for the NCC Special entry examination.
