UPSC CAPF AC 2023 Notification Out, Exam Date, Eligibility Criteria, Application Form

The UPSC CAPF AC 2023 Notification was released on 26th April 2023 for the recruitment of Assistant Commandants in Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) such as BSF, CRPF, CISF, ITBP and SSB.

The UPSC has released the 2023 Notification on April 26, 2023, for 322 vacancies in Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) Assistant Commandants (Group A), including Border Security Force (BSF), Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP), and Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB). Interested candidates can apply online through the given link, but it is recommended to avoid last-minute rushes and apply as soon as possible, as centers will be allotted on a “first-apply-first-allot” basis.

UPSC CAPF Notification 2023: How To Apply – Link

To apply for UPSC CAPF 2023, follow the below steps:

  1. Visit the official website of UPSC (https://upsc.gov.in).
  2. Click on the “Online Application for Various Examinations” link.
  3. Look for the “Central Armed Police Forces (ACs) Examination 2023” link and click on it.
  4. Read the instructions carefully and click on the “Part-I Registration” link.
  5. Fill in all the required details in the application form and click on the “Submit” button.
  6. Pay the application fee through the available payment modes.
  7. After the payment is successful, proceed to the “Part-II Registration”.
  8. Upload your scanned photograph and signature in the prescribed format.
  9. Complete the “Part-II Registration” process by filling in the remaining details and submitting the form.
  10. Take a printout of the filled application form for future reference.

UPSC CAPF Interview

The Personality Test/Interview will be conducted for a total of 150 marks. Candidates who qualify for the Personality Test/Interview, including those provisionally shortlisted, will be provided with a Detailed Application Form (DAF) in which they will have to indicate their preferred choice of Forces, among other details.

UPSC CAPF Merit List

Candidates’ merit list will be prepared based on their performance in both the Written Examination and Interview/Personality Test.

UPSC CAPF ACs Eligibility Criteria

UPSC CAPF Educational Qualification

One must possess a Bachelor’s degree from a university that is incorporated by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India, or an educational institution established by an Act of Parliament, or declared as deemed university under Section-3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956, or an equivalent qualification to be eligible for the exam.

UPSC CAPF Age Limit

  • A candidate must have attained the age of 20 years and must not have attained the age of 25 years on 1st August, 2023, i.e. he/she must have been born not earlier than 2nd August 1998 and not later than 1st August 2003.
  • The upper age limit prescribed above will be relaxable.
    • (i) up to a maximum of five years if a candidate belongs to a Scheduled Caste or a Scheduled Tribe.
    • (ii) up to a maximum of three years in the case of candidates belonging to Other Backward Classes who are eligible to avail of reservation applicable to such candidates.
    • (iii) up to a maximum of five years for Civilian Central Government Servants in accordance with the existing instructions of the Central Government. Ex-Servicemen will also be eligible for this relaxation.

CAPF AC Application Fees

Except for female, SC, and ST candidates who are exempt from the payment of fees, all other candidates are required to pay a fee of Rs. 200/-.
