The National Defence Academy in Khadakwasla deeply mourns the passing of Squadron Cadet Captain Pratham Mahale. Hailing from Maharashtra, Cadet Mahale joined the academy on 18 April 2021 in the 145th Course.
Tragically, on 16 October 2023, he suffered a head injury while participating in the Inter Squadron Boxing Competition.
Despite undergoing surgery for internal head bleeding at the Command Hospital in Pune, he could not be saved. The academy honored the valiant cadet with full military rites, with Vice Admiral Ajay Kochhar, AVSM, NM, Commandant of the National Defence Academy, paying his respects by laying a wreath.
The entire NDA community extends its profound sympathies to Cadet Mahale’s family during this sorrowful time.
