The successful test of Mission Divyastra signifies a monumental achievement for India’s defense establishment. With the introduction of MIRV technology, the Agni-5 missile is now capable of deploying multiple warheads independently to different target locations, significantly enhancing its operational efficacy and strategic deterrence capabilities.

Highlighting the noteworthy aspect of gender representation in the project, PM Modi emphasized that the project director for Mission Divyastra is a woman, highlighting the significant contribution of women scientists in advancing India’s defense research and development initiatives.

By successfully demonstrating MIRV capability, India has cemented its position among the elite group of nations possessing this advanced technological capability.
