In a significant step towards bolstering bilateral defence cooperation between India and Indonesia, Air Marshal (Retd) Mr. Donny Ermawan Toufanto, Secretary General of Indonesia’s Ministry of Defence, paid a courtesy visit to General Anil Chauhan, the Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) of India.
The meeting, held at the apex level, underscored the deep-rooted cultural, civilizational, and ideological linkages between the two nations, highlighting their shared commitment to promoting peace and security in the Indian Ocean Region (IOR).
During the discussions, General Anil Chauhan reiterated the importance of the longstanding historical ties between India and Indonesia, emphasizing the pivotal role both nations play in shaping the strategic landscape of the IOR.
