In a spirited celebration of Diwali, Kiren Rijiju, Union Minister, marked the festival of lights with the Indian Army jawans of the 108 Battalion of Engineers stationed in Tawang, Arunachal Pradesh.
The event took place at the Bumla Border, at an altitude of 15,000 feet, where Rijiju expressed immense pride and gratitude for the brave soldiers safeguarding the nation.

A talented cultural troupe, the Tangkhul Naga Group from Manipur, also joined the celebration. The group is visiting Arunachal Pradesh for the unveiling of the statue of Major Bob Khathing, an iconic figure whose contributions solidified Tawangโs place within Indiaโs borders. Major Khathingโs pivotal role is remembered with reverence, as he was instrumental in integrating Tawang with India, a legacy celebrated through this event.
Rijijuโs Diwali celebration with the jawans highlighted the unwavering spirit and resilience of the Indian Army, honoring those who serve tirelessly to protect the nation.
