In a significant demonstration of discipline, dedication, and skill, over 108,781 cadets from the National Cadet Corps (NCC) across India successfully took part in the much-anticipated ‘C’ Certificate Examination held on February 16, 2025.

The ‘C’ Certificate, signifying excellence and a deep commitment to the values instilled through NCC training, is a testament to the cadets’ years-long journey. Cadets holding this certificate often receive exemptions from common defence entrance exams, allowing them to directly apply for the SSB (Services Selection Board) evaluation process, which is a crucial step towards joining the Indian defence forces.

Kunal Bhavsar, a participant, suggested on social media that similar to how the Territorial Army serves as an entry point for common citizens into military service, there should be a structured pathway for ‘C’ certified NCC cadets, proposing the idea of a “Territorial NCC”. This idea reflects the community’s eagerness to see more integration and opportunities for NCC cadets within military structures.
Rajesh Sinha expressed gratitude towards the NCC for the meticulous organization of the examination and shared his optimism about tackling the exam, while Rajendra Patri raised the question of how the benefits of the ‘C’ Certificate could be better propagated, indicating a community interest in maximizing the value of this certification.
