Soldier Sanjay Singh Martyred While on Duty in Leh-Ladakh

Sanjay Singh Saini, a soldier from village Kwartan in Haryana’s Kaithal district, was martyred while serving in the challenging terrain of Leh-Ladakh. The news of his martyrdom reached the village on Monday, plunging the entire community into deep mourning.

Sanjay Singh was serving in the Indian Army’s 10 Sikh Regiment and was currently posted in the high-altitude regions of Ladakh. His family was informed by the Army on Monday that he had attained martyrdom during active duty.

Hailing from a humble background, Sanjay leaves behind his wife, two sons aged 14 and 11, an elderly mother, and an elder brother. His father had passed away recently, and Sanjay had returned home to attend the funeral.

According to Army officials, Sanjay Singh’s post-mortem will be conducted in Kargil. His mortal remains will then be flown from Leh to Chandigarh, and subsequently brought to his native village via Ambala. The final rites will be performed with full military and state honors on Wednesday.

As the news of his sacrifice spread, a large number of villagers and relatives began arriving at the martyr’s home to pay their respects and express condolences. The entire village is grieving the loss of this braveheart, whose courage and dedication to the nation will be remembered with pride and honor.
