Students from schools across Delhi-NCR marked an early Raksha Bandhan celebration at the Air Force Station in New Delhi, tying rakhis to Indian Air Force (IAF) personnel as a gesture of respect and gratitude.

The ceremony was attended by Air Chief Marshal AP Singh, who assumed the role of Chief of the Air Staff on September 30, 2024. Interacting with the students, he emphasized the importance of connecting the military with the younger generation to inspire patriotism and resilience.

Traditionally a festival celebrating sibling bonds, Raksha Bandhan has evolved to honor protectors of the nation. At the event, students also offered sweets to the air warriors, underscoring the IAF’s role as guardians of India’s skies.

The initiative reflects the Air Force’s community engagement efforts. The program ended with a group photograph, capturing the festive spirit and the strengthened bond between the armed forces and the public they serve.
