The Kumaon Car Rally 2025, flagged off today by Lt Gen DG Misra, General Officer Commanding (GOC) of Uttar Bharat Area, marks a significant initiative by the Indian Army to blend adventure, national pride, and strategic awareness.
Held in Bareilly, the rally is more than a sporting event; it is a mission to promote border tourism and foster a deeper connection between the youth, tourism, and the Armed Forces.
The rally’s route, spanning from Banbasa to Lipulekh Pass via Pithoragarh, Dharchula, Adi Kailash, and Om Parvat, traverses some of the most challenging and culturally rich terrains of the Himalayas. This journey not only tests the participants’ endurance but also highlights the strategic importance of these border regions, echoing the Indian Army’s role in safeguarding the nation.
Organized by the Panchshul Gunners and supported by YOLO Adventures, Offroad Guru, and BPCLimited, the Kumaon Car Rally 2025 is designed to celebrate the spirit of adventure while promoting awareness of the region’s cultural and military significance.

Lt Gen DG Misra emphasized that the rally is a testament to the indomitable spirit of the Indian Armed Forces and the youth, stating:
