Probationers of the Indian Police Service (IPS) 77 RR (2024 batch) called on President Droupadi Murmu at Rashtrapati Bhavan. The meeting highlighted the crucial role of young police officers in shaping a secure and progressive India.
Addressing the probationers, the President emphasized that while police officers derive their powers from laws and systems, their true authority stems from personal and professional integrity. She underscored that integrity, empathy, and a sense of duty are the cornerstones of effective policing in a democratic society.
President Murmu further stated that a future-ready police force—empowered by technology, guided by ethical leadership, and driven by public service—will play a pivotal role in building Viksit Bharat. She encouraged the young officers to embrace innovation, uphold justice, and maintain the trust of the people through transparency and accountability.
