Marching ahead in fostering international naval cooperation and professional exchanges, a 46-member delegation from the Command & Staff College, Japan, visited INS Hansa on 24 October 2025. The visit aimed to provide the officers with an in-depth understanding of the operational environment, training standards, and technological capabilities of the Indian Navyโs premier air station.

During their visit, the delegation toured several key facilities including the Air Traffic Control (ATC), INAS 316, MiG Simulator, and INAS 300, witnessing firsthand the operational procedures and coordination that define naval air operations. The Japanese officers were briefed on the stationโs role in maritime surveillance, coastal defence, and support to fleet air arm operations.

The visit also offered an opportunity for meaningful interaction between officers of both navies, sharing experiences on training methodologies, maintenance practices, and the integration of air assets in modern maritime strategy.

Through such engagements, the Indian Navy continues to strengthen its ties with friendly foreign countries, promoting mutual understanding, interoperability, and a shared vision of security and stability in the Indo-Pacific region.
