Lieutenant General RC Tiwari, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Eastern Command, visited the newly established FPV Drone Node at the Agnirath Brigade, underscoring the Indian Armyโs focus on technological innovation and self-reliance in defence applications.
During the visit, Lt Gen Tiwari was briefed on the nodeโs capabilities and initiatives. He witnessed the in-house drone fabrication facility, where troops design, assemble, and test FPV (First Person View) drones for operational use. The demonstration included drone training modules, covering both simulator-based practice and live flying sessions, reflecting the Armyโs growing emphasis on skill development and tactical innovation.
Impressed by the initiative, Lt Gen Tiwari commended the innovative approach, enthusiasm, and technical proficiency displayed by the personnel. He appreciated their efforts towards technology absorption, terming it a crucial step in strengthening Indiaโs defence preparedness through indigenous solutions.
He further encouraged the troops to continue exploring and integrating homegrown technologies in production-related ventures, aligning with the vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat (Self-Reliant India)
