Northern Command Army Commander Lt Gen Pratik Sharma visited forward posts in the Dras and Kargil sectors to assess the security situation and operational readiness in the challenging high-altitude terrain ahead of the winter season.
During the visit, the Army Commander was briefed on emerging threat scenarios, ongoing surveillance measures, deployment readiness, and preparations to sustain operations as extreme weather sets in. The review focused on ensuring robust defensive posture, winter logistics, and mission continuity in one of the world’s most demanding operational environments.
