The Junior Leaders Academy (JLA), Bareilly, successfully concluded the Potential Subedar Major Course for Junior Leaders on 09 December 2025. The four-week intensive programme saw the participation of Subedar Majors and potential Subedar Majors from the Indian Army, Indian Navy, Special Frontier Force (SFF) and the Assam Rifles, underscoring the institutionโs pivotal role in strengthening junior leadership across services.

The course focused on enhancing leadership competencies, discipline management, administrative proficiency and troop welfareโkey responsibilities entrusted to Subedar Majors as custodians of unit ethos and morale.

During the valedictory ceremony, the Commandant, JLA, emphasised the critical role played by Subedar Majors in maintaining organisational cohesion and guiding soldiers through professional and personal challenges.

Ris Maj Kewal Singh of 10 Punjab Battalion NCC was adjudged the Overall Best Student, earning distinction for his outstanding performance, dedication and leadership qualities displayed during the course.
The training capsule reaffirmed JLA Bareillyโs commitment to grooming future-ready Junior Leaders capable of upholding the highest standards of professionalism in the Armed Forces.
