National Cadet Corps cadets at the Republic Day Camp received special inspiration as Miss Universe India 2025, Ms Manika Vishwakarma, a former NCC cadet, visited the camp and interacted with young cadets from across the country.
During her visit, Ms Vishwakarma shared her journey from NCC training grounds to winning the Miss Universe India title, recalling how her early years as a cadet shaped her outlook and discipline. She credited the NCC for instilling core values such as discipline, confidence, leadership, resilience, and a strong sense of responsibility—qualities that, she said, played a decisive role in her personal growth and eventual success on the national stage.
Addressing the cadets, she emphasised that NCC training goes far beyond drills and parades, helping young people build character, self-belief, and the ability to face challenges with determination. She encouraged cadets to remain focused on their goals and make the most of opportunities provided by the NCC, noting that the organisation prepares youth for success in diverse fields, not just the armed forces.
