The General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the Red Shield Division, under Spear Corps, visited Agartala Military Station in Tripura and paid solemn homage at the Albert Ekka War Memorial, honouring the valour and supreme sacrifice of Indiaโs heroes of the 1971 war.

During the visit, the GOC laid a wreath at the memorial, remembering the courage, dedication and selfless service of soldiers who played a pivotal role in safeguarding the nation during the historic conflict.

The homage reaffirmed the Armyโs enduring respect for the legacy of its fallen warriors and the values they upheld.

The visit also underscored the Red Shield Divisionโs commitment to preserving military heritage and inspiring present and future generations of soldiers by remembering the sacrifices that laid the foundation of the nationโs security.
