Lt Gen Harpal Singh assumed charge as the 29th Director General of Border Roads (DGBR), taking over leadership of the Border Roads Organisation (BRO)—the nation’s premier force for strategic road infrastructure development.
Addressing officers, personnel, and civilian paid labourers (CPLs), Lt Gen Harpal Singh encouraged all ranks to continue working with the same zeal, vigour, and enthusiasm in delivering critical strategic infrastructure across some of the most challenging terrains in the country. He underscored BRO’s pivotal role in enhancing national security, operational mobility, and socio-economic development in border and remote regions.

On the occasion of New Year 2026, the Director General Border Roads extended warm greetings and best wishes to all ranks and CPLs, saluting their unwavering dedication, resilience, and hard work toward nation building. He acknowledged the tireless efforts of BRO personnel who operate in extreme weather and terrain conditions to ensure year-round connectivity.
