Air Marshal Seethepalli Shrinivas, PVSM, AVSM, VSM, Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief (AOC-in-C), Training Command, visited Air Force Station Tambaram on 03 and 04 February 2026, accompanied by Mrs Sunita Shrinivas, President AFFWA (Regional). A ceremonial Guard of Honour was presented to the Air Marshal on arrival.

During the visit, the AOC-in-C conducted a comprehensive review of flying, maintenance, training and administrative activities at the station. As part of his engagement, Air Marshal Shrinivas flew a sortie on the Pilatus PC-7, gaining first-hand insight into training operations.

He subsequently interacted with the Directing Staff and trainees of the Flying Instructorsโ School, discussing training methodologies, instructional standards and professional development. Addressing station personnel, the Air Marshal underscored the critical importance of achieving excellence in training, highlighting it as the foundation of an operationally capable and future-ready Indian Air Force.

The visit reaffirmed Training Commandโs focus on high training standards, professional rigour and continuous improvement, ensuring that the IAF remains prepared to meet evolving operational challenges.
