Shri Sanjay Singhal, IPS, Director General of the Sashastra Seema Bal, visited the forward areas of the Kumaon Sector under the aegis of Panchshul Brigade to review the prevailing border situation and operational preparedness.
During the visit, the DG SSB was briefed on ground-level security dynamics, deployment posture and measures being undertaken to enhance inter-force and inter-agency coordination to effectively tackle evolving security challenges along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) and the International Border (IB).
Interacting with troops deployed in forward areas, Shri Singhal commended their unwavering vigilance, resilience and professionalism while operating in sub-zero temperatures and rugged high-altitude terrain. He lauded their steadfast commitment to duty in safeguarding the nation’s borders under demanding conditions.
The visit reaffirmed the shared resolve of the SSB and the Indian Army to ensure secure borders through seamless synergy, coordinated operations and sustained preparedness in sensitive frontier areas.
