Living up to the timeless maxim — “Shastrastrairvina naiva vijayah sambhavah” (Without weapons and artillery, victory is not possible) — the Golden Key Gunners of the Golden Key Division displayed exceptional precision, professionalism and battle preparedness during a Field Firing Exercise conducted as part of their Annual Practice Camp.
The exercise witnessed the thunderous roar of artillery as targets were engaged with remarkable accuracy, reaffirming the formation’s operational proficiency and combat readiness. The firing drills validated the seamless integration of modern artillery platforms with next-generation equipment under realistic operational conditions.
A key highlight of the exercise was the successful employment of sensor-to-shooter linkages, enabled through mini Remotely Piloted Aircraft (RPA) systems, advanced surveillance grids and cutting-edge target acquisition technologies. These capabilities significantly enhanced responsiveness, situational awareness and strike effectiveness.
The camp was reviewed by Brigadier RK Singh, Commander, Golden Key Gunners Brigade, who commended the gunners for maintaining exemplary standards of training, technical excellence and combat preparedness.
The exercise reflected the indomitable spirit of the Gunners, reinforcing their enduring ethos and resounding war cry — Har Maidan Fateh, Victory in Every Battlefield.
