Lt Gen Devendra Sharma, PVSM, AVSM, SM, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Army Training Command (ARTRAC), visited the Military College of Telecommunication Engineering (MCTE) at Mhow on 27 February 2026.

During the visit, the Army Commander inaugurated the NFS Advance Training Centre, a unique pan-India tri-services facility designed to enhance training in Network for Spectrum (NFS) operations. He witnessed student officers demonstrate the integration of legacy communication systems with NFS, highlighting enhanced connectivity and operational synergy.

Lt Gen Sharma also visited the Drone Training Node, Electronic Warfare (EW) labs and Counter-Unmanned Aerial Systems (C-UAS) facilities, where he was briefed on the specialised training imparted to young officers to prepare them for technology-driven battlefields.

Commending MCTE for its forward-looking approach, the Army Commander lauded the institution’s pivotal role in shaping future-ready tech-warriors and reinforcing the Indian Army’s transformation towards network-centric and technology-enabled operations.
