Lt Gen DG Misra, AVSM, General Officer Commanding of Uttar Bharat Area, visited Headquarters Paschim UP Sub Area at Meerut Cantonment and interacted with troops at the Abdul Hamid Sainik Institute.
During the visit, the Army Commander reviewed the upgraded facilities at the institute and commended the ongoing modernisation efforts aimed at strengthening welfare, dignity, and quality of life for soldiers and their families. He appreciated the institute’s role in providing comprehensive support services and a caring environment for personnel and veterans.
Interacting with the troops, Lt Gen DG Misra emphasised empathetic leadership and effective welfare delivery as key enablers of morale and combat effectiveness. He reiterated that robust welfare frameworks contribute directly to readiness and cohesion across formations.
The visit reaffirmed the Indian Army’s continued focus on people-centric leadership, underlining that strong leaders—and institutions that care—build strong armies.
