Lieutenant General Dhiraj Seth, PVSM, UYSM, AVSM, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Southern Command, visited the Amphibious Brigade to review its operational preparedness and joint warfighting capability in complex operational environments.

During the visit, the Army Commander witnessed a series of amphibious drills employing specialised equipment, validating the formation’s readiness to undertake operations across diverse terrains and mission profiles. The demonstrations highlighted seamless coordination, rapid manoeuvre capability and effective integration of resources essential for amphibious operations.

Lt Gen Dhiraj Seth interacted closely with officers and troops, appreciating their high standards of professionalism, training and combat readiness. He lauded the formation for maintaining a strong operational posture and the ability to respond swiftly to emerging contingencies.

Exhorting all ranks, the Army Commander emphasised the need to remain agile, adaptive and mission-focused in the face of evolving operational challenges. The visit reaffirmed Southern Command’s emphasis on jointness, preparedness and maintaining a future-ready force capable of meeting complex security demands.
