Lieutenant General Pratik Sharma, Army Commander, Northern Command, visited the Combat Engineering Training Camp of Strike One Sappers at the Purkazi Training Area on the banks of the River Ganges to review operational preparedness and technology-driven capabilities.

During the visit, the Army Commander observed a range of combat engineering tasks, including bridging and rafting operations, executed using new-generation equipment, drones, unmanned ground vehicles (UGVs) and innovative mine warfare solutions. The demonstrations highlighted rapid mobility, adaptability and precision essential for modern battlefield requirements.

Interacting with officers and troops, Lt Gen Sharma lauded the high standards of professionalism, operational readiness and swift technology absorption displayed by the Sappers. He underscored the importance of integrating emerging technologies with core combat engineering skills to ensure agility and effectiveness across diverse operational scenarios.
