Lieutenant General RC Tiwari, Army Commander, Eastern Command, visited Headquarters 101 Area at Shillong on 09 February 2026 to review the formation’s operational and administrative preparedness.
During the visit, the Army Commander was briefed on key aspects of readiness, administration and ongoing initiatives aimed at enhancing efficiency across the Area. He interacted with personnel and reviewed measures undertaken to sustain preparedness in a dynamic operational environment.
Lt Gen Tiwari appreciated the formation for its high morale, professionalism and steadfastness, and commended the adoption of innovative practices to improve operational effectiveness. He emphasised the importance of maintaining momentum in training, leadership and innovation to meet emerging challenges.
The visit reaffirmed Eastern Command’s focus on readiness, efficiency and professional excellence in safeguarding national security interests.
