Lieutenant General Virendra Vats, YSM, SM, VSM, Director General NCC, along with NCC cadets, paid a courtesy call on the Chief of Army Staff of the Nepal Army during the ongoing India–Nepal Youth Exchange Programme. The interaction marked a significant moment in strengthening youth-led engagement between the two neighbouring countries.
During the meeting, discussions highlighted the deep-rooted cultural, military and people-to-people ties shared by India and Nepal. The visit reflected the longstanding tradition of close defence cooperation and mutual respect between the armed forces of both nations.
The interaction also emphasised the role of youth exchanges in fostering mutual understanding, friendship and regional harmony. NCC cadets were encouraged to act as ambassadors of goodwill, carrying forward the legacy of shared history and values between the two countries.
